Should School start later in the day? This has been an issue in the Educational Board. I think school should start later in the day. It would benefit the teachers, principal,staff, cafeteria workers and lastly the students. I believe school should start later in the day because some students take part in school activities that last long, some students have jobs, and people have trouble sleeping at night. First of all, School wants to encourage students to take part in activities they host. The school should think of the students. School events they last up to ten p.m. They at least delay school, so students can good a night of rest. Sports are a huge part of school, but they also keep the students from home until late

Suppose you are getting up out of bed to go to school in the morning. Your mom needs to arrive at work at 8:30, but your school just changed their start time to 9:45 because children at the school were falling asleep in class. You are forced to awaken at the same time you started waking up at, because your mom has to be at work. You have to go with your friend, who has his mother take him everyday. You have your mother take you at the same time as before to drop you off at your friend's house to wait.

Whenever the alarm goes off almost everyone wants to hit the snooze button. Kids are not getting enough sleep, but is starting school later the solution? Starting school later would mean transportation issues and school would get out later. Also, extra curricular activities for some kids end as late as nine o’clock now so pushing the start time back would cause kids getting home really late and still not getting enough sleep. Schools should not start any later.

Sleep is one of the most important things in our lives, it keeps our brains healthy and working. It gives our brain cells time to relax and not over-work. However, some teens aren 't getting the 8.5 hours of sleep they need, and believe the school is responsible for it. In most districts, schools start times around 7:00 am in some cases. Parents and students believe that the school district should change this and make the start of the school day later, so that they can get the right amount of sleep they need to function. Ladies and gentlemen, I am here today to talk about an issue that leaves millions slumped over in exhaustion on a daily basis, an issue that leaves many unable to reach their full potential, an issue called school start times, which are too early in too many places. I mean, how many of you here can get 9 hours of sleep every night? Probably not many. Schools need to start later to meet not the fleeting wants but the biological needs of teens like us.
Should school start later? Waking up to go to school early isn't beneficial for students. Waking up early is hard and it doesn't help. Waking up late has proven that students are more alert, test scores are better in math and reading, and your body is healthier. I don't want to wake up early just so I get bad grades and get less healthy.

Although, it would be great to sleep in pushing school back would interfere with sports, parents schedules, and making students want to stay up later so they have time to do the things they want. In my opinion, leaving schools at the normal time would be the better option.
