Although it may seem fair that if the minimum wage rises low-income people will have a chance to earn more money, it will only make the situation worse. To many people around the world, the minimum wage is very low for modern society and is not enough to support a family or even yourself. In the minds of a normal person, they may think that raising the minimum wage will increase the income of a person which will mean they have enough money to buy products. It is invalid and if the minimum wage increases, financial factors (one of inflation) will invert the perspective in which people think of increasing the minimum wages.

If the minimum wage rises, it will mean that less jobs will be available. There will be less jobs due to the company’s efforts to stabilize their income. The companies will have to spend more money on the wage of their employees and some companies don’t have the ability to do this which will lead to the increase of employees getting fired and being laid off. If this occurs, major companies will replace human employees with computers and technology. Things such as kiosks and and machinery will replace the common jobs that low-income people are most wanted for. Making this change will benefit companies such as McDonalds because it will save them more than $16,000 per cashier. Either way, if they keep employees it is only for one reason and that is because they are experienced. The more experience an employee is, the greater they have of a chance to stay in their position.
