In the story it Quotes “Hyde is Jekyll’s dark side, released from the bonds of conscience and loosed into the world by a mysterious potion.” Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are different in many ways. The Strange Case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson is a story that focuses on two completely different characters and their reputations. Actions of an individual define who that individual is as a person. In the story, Mr. Hyde’s actions make him out to be an evil character and Dr. Jekyll’s actions show that he is a good man.
Hyde’s appearance suggests, his behavior is also vicious. One night he tramples over a child’s body leaving her screaming and a sight “hellish to see” (Stevenson 3). Another night he breaks out in rage and beats a man to death with his cane for no apparent reason. As opposed to Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde has no conscience; he feels no remorse in his actions. Mr. Hyde is the embodiment of pure evil, which is why no one could recognize that this man is actually the other half of Dr. Jekyll.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are clearly two different personalities because of their physical, mental, and moral differences.
After I got done reading the book "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" the two people seem nothing alike. dr. Jekyll was respected and well liked other than me. Hyde being hideous and didn't care about his appearance. but I do think they are mentally the same because they somewhat in a way have the same personality but at the same time they don't. for instance dr.jeklly probably had evil inside him but he didn't want people to dislike him so he became this new person named "Mr. Hyde" so people would think its a completely different
The story of Dr.Jeykll and Mr.Hyde. Is an intresting one, in that it presents two characters who are completely different. Or one in the same? Mr. Hyde is accomplished into existence by Dr.Jekyll drinking a potion and then transforming into the evil entity. But even though Mr.Hyde is pure evil, could he be the hidden thoughts or Mr.Hyde. Or is he just a discord formation of anger.
In the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, he is one person with two personalities, one good side and one evil side. Dr. Jekyll believes there is good and bad in everyone and made a potion to get rid of the bad personality. Unfortunately it got out of control and he was unable to controls the evil side.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was published January 5, 1886. Its literary period of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is during The Victorian Period.
Mentally, the two main characters Dr.jekyll and Mr.Hyde were also extensively different. since Dr.Jekyll was a scientist he thought more with reasoning and rationality and acted with caution. The author Stevenson stated in the text, “made enough allowance for the complete moral insensibility and insensate readiness to evil.” This displays that Mr.Hyde was filled with temper and did not act very
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are not that similar. They are both masculine. They have the same mind that shares experiences: “My two natures had memory in common, but all other faculties were most unequally shared between them (The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, pg. 114)”. They both share Dr. Jekyll’s money: “[He]…came back with the matter of ten pounds in gold and a cheque for the balance on Coutts’s, drawn payable to bearer and signed with a name I can’t mention…( The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, pg. 41)”. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde share living quarters, the servants, the laboratory and the cane: “…[Mr. Utterson] recognized it for one that he had himself presented many years before to Henry Jekyll (The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, pg. 61)”. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde have very general likenesses, while the differences are more significant.
Dr. Jekyll is a honorable man that knows how to act in public and is well mannered. He is a doctor and a good person to be friends with and his personal beliefs are for more liberation and freedom who longs for peace and for more control so to speak. On the other hand Mr. Hyde is a self centered person and can sometimes be damaging to things around him because of his aggressive and violent nature nature. Though they both seem like two completely different people miraculously they are the same person
“These are all very strange circumstances… No, sir, that thing in the mask was never Dr. Jekyll… I give you my bible word it was Mr. Hyde” With this last quote we can see that even though both men totally differ from one another, they still are connected to some little detail that express they do are the same person. Or for some reason was that Jekyll felt the necessity to create Hyde in order to express what he felt in an evil
In the story of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” both characters Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde can be compared in different ways. Some of those comparisons are mental, physical, and moral differences. There personalities were not the same during the the story.
Dr. Jekyll was a respected doctor and Mr. Hyde was evil. Physically, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are very different because Mr. Hyde looked deformed and that made him terrifying. Hyde is called a “disgustful curiosity” and “hardly human” because he is deformed and also disabled, that causes fear of him, while no one would fear Jekyll. Mentally Jekyll was very intelligent and Mr. Hyde was crazy and couldn’t be controlled. Eventually Jekyll couldn’t prevent himself from turning into Hyde.
The only thing that Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde have in common is that they are the same person. But other than being the same person, they have nothing else in common. Henry Jekyll is a well established, distinguished, intelligent doctor, Hyde on the other hand is the complete opposite. He may be a little smart because he knows how to transform himself into Hyde and to transform himself back to Jekyll. This may
