Even though some would consider motocross racing a hobby or a game rather then a sport because of their opinions, a person should understand that motocross racing is a sport in today's world because it contains all the elements of the definition of what a sport is and Motocross is a sport due to the fact that it requires an individual to be in top shape, both mentally and physically as defined by the word sport.
First off, figure skating is a sport because it requires time and effort. Figure skating is called “One of the hardest sports” by many commentators because it requires the skater to be graceful while trying to not make a mistake. Many people say that Figure skating is just jumping and skating on ice but it is much more. Figure skating requires the skater to get enough momentum to be able to control the jump and land while transitioning to the next trick.. To add, figure skating is a sport where you need to go to classes few times a week in order for you to not forget and keep on improving. Many professional skaters spend most of their lives practicing the same routine many times and auditioning to be let into the contests. “Many skaters do a lot of work off the ice at the gym for strength training, practice yoga for flexibility, and work on cardio to build up
The youth of today have often been told or led to believe that an activity is not a sport. I beg to differ. As a young man and brother I was convinced that cheerleading was not a sport. My sister would argue anyone on that subject, and so would I after watching them perform. They not only cheer, but take gymnastics to another level of complexity. Cheerleading is definitely a sport with or without competitions. Once I concluded that cheerleading could be considered a sport, I began to apply those same concepts to other physical activities that I enjoy. This application leads me to consider a physical activity that I enjoy and feel I am an expert on; Motocross racing. It is a sport in all the elements defined above.
Skateboarding should be banned from public places. My reasons are people can be hurt. People don't want to pay a hospital bill after getting hit by a skateboarder being
Skateboarding has been around since 1944. Initially, created as a crate with wheels and a bar used as a handle bar, the idea was slowly being more refined. Woman’s Army Corps Betty Magnuson, reported seeing French children riding on wooden boards with rollerblade wheels attached to them which would imply that the idea has been played around with but never capitalized upon. From crate boxes with handle bars, to popsicle shaped boards with specialty made wheels backed with a massive culture, skateboarding has become a popular industry.
The norms of skateboarding are more masculinity, participant control and the de- emphasizing of competition. Participant control is that there is not any referee, no penalties or set plays. With the lack of formality, it allowed them to show who they really are. De-emphasizing of competition means to reduce the need of competing against others.
Of course you need leg strength to be good at skateboarding. Skating is all about your legs, therefore you need no upper body strength to be able to shred on a skateboard. However did you know that that is the exact same thing with marching band. In marching band i hold my tube from my shoulders, and my shoulders are on my legs. Therefore my legs are actually lifting my instrument. In addition to holding my instrument, my legs are also running across the field. This means that you should work out properly. Every Day at the gym I do leg lifts, and leg curls. These are common leg workouts to enhance your leg’s strength.
It’s also competitive because it’s a tough sport and requires you to be on top of your game and also requires you to be very athletic. sometimeS you gotta push yourself and try hard to succeed at it. It also requires a lot of strategy to work out plays and makes you really use your brain and think about what your next move is and that’s why i think it is educational and healthy which leads to my third reason.

In some cities in the United States, Longboarding has been banned on specific roads Dangerous sports have always been a tremendous interest to a large percentage of the human population. The intensity of fast paced dangerous sports such as longboarding joined with healthy rivalry and a competitive nature seems to make people more impassioned when it comes to sports like these.
Due to negative connotations, Skateboarders are looked upon as lawbreakers and trespassers. Police officers do not show the least amount of remorse to this lifestyle. Skate parks in towns and cities are scarce. This enables skaters to find other spots due to the lack of effort shown to have made more skate parks. Skateboarders are often categorized and labeled as reckless vandals. This accusation must be reconsidered because statistics show officers use excessive force, Injury Surveillance Systems show eye-opening results of skateboarding injuries compared to other sports, and how skate laws desperately need revisions due to the vagueness of the rules we need to stand by. Now, skaters stand up to defend their lifestyle, hobby, addiction and
There’re a lot of sports that participate to the Olympics every two years. There is a reason why Parkour is not one of them. Conditions are in place for an activity to be called a sport and parkour doesn’t fit. In this essay, I will argue that parkour is not a sport. Certain people don’t know the different, but I will show why it’s more of an art form then anything.
Ride a BMX bike they can go a lot faster in a lot shorter time then a skate board. BMX bikes is an easier and faster way to get from point A to point B. On a BMX bike can make anyone feel free. There a lot of fun places BMX bikes go like the forest, the streets, dirt jumps, and even skate parks. BMX gets you around a lot faster than a skateboard ever will.

As you switch between streets, sidewalks, or parks, there is no other means of transport more suited for the unpredictability
