I have been snowboarding since 2005, and since then I have been passionate about the sport. When i’m not snowboarding, I like to watch snowboarding; when i’m not watching snowboarding, i’m probably just adding things to my Burton shopping cart and wishing I was a pro so that I could afford them.
Skateboarding has been around since 1944. Initially, created as a crate with wheels and a bar used as a handle bar, the idea was slowly being more refined. Woman’s Army Corps Betty Magnuson, reported seeing French children riding on wooden boards with rollerblade wheels attached to them which would imply that the idea has been played around with but never capitalized upon. From crate boxes with handle bars, to popsicle shaped boards with specialty made wheels backed with a massive culture, skateboarding has become a popular industry.
The norms of skateboarding are more masculinity, participant control and the de- emphasizing of competition. Participant control is that there is not any referee, no penalties or set plays. With the lack of formality, it allowed them to show who they really are. De-emphasizing of competition means to reduce the need of competing against others.
Of course you need leg strength to be good at skateboarding. Skating is all about your legs, therefore you need no upper body strength to be able to shred on a skateboard. However did you know that that is the exact same thing with marching band. In marching band i hold my tube from my shoulders, and my shoulders are on my legs. Therefore my legs are actually lifting my instrument. In addition to holding my instrument, my legs are also running across the field. This means that you should work out properly. Every Day at the gym I do leg lifts, and leg curls. These are common leg workouts to enhance your leg’s strength.
The insignificant weight, compact size, ease to carry and maneuver, magnificent flex has made it one of the best skateboards for beginners. Anyone learning the basic would find it really useful.

Motocross runs in Weston Kemper’s family. “I was given my first dirt bike when I was four,” stated Kemper. Kemper’s dad loves dirt bikes and has passed down the passion to Kemper, “Even when I was a baby my dad would take me on rides.” Learning from his dad, Kemper has grown into a talented motocross biker. Kemper spends his time riding dirt bikes at Finger Lakes in Columbia, MO. Currently, Kemper races in competitions locally from March to October. Kemper sticks to racing and has put tricks to a rest after getting injured in fifth grade. Once, while riding in fifth grade, Kemper was attempting a trick when he fell of the dirt bike and it landed on his femur. Kemper’s femur was broken in four different places leaving surgery mandatory. The
In some cities in the United States, Longboarding has been banned on specific roads Dangerous sports have always been a tremendous interest to a large percentage of the human population. The intensity of fast paced dangerous sports such as longboarding joined with healthy rivalry and a competitive nature seems to make people more impassioned when it comes to sports like these.
Every Saturday, my sister Precious and I always go to Skate City. We used to go to Fun Spot, but we stopped going.
I’m in the library so I’m sure they won’t care too much that I’m reading instead of doing actual work. Aside from music, skateboarding is the other half of my life. I’ve probable written more stories about it than music. I don’t have an end goal in it, I just love it. It’s fun weather I’m progressing or not ; chilling or trying some banger. But just as music goes, it takes up so much time. It’s always one of the two. Thinking of guitar riffs in math, thinking of some handrail to grind in Physics. The skatepark is right near the school too. Every period I walk past a door and consider going for it. I’m actually getting kind of good too. It’s torture, I just picture the progression I could be making. Landing new tricks, stacking some decent clips, it’s awesome. Not to mention all the hemies. They hype it up and then everything just turns into a party. I’ve always wanted to go on a music/skate tour. One of my bands would hop in a van and go touring playing shows. Along the way we’d skate, hit spots and try and make a short video edit. That would be the dream life…

In order to do any skateboard tick the Ollie must first be used. This is the foundation to all skateboard tricks, since this allows you to get off the ground. Before the Ollie can be explained it’s paramount to understand Newton’s three laws. The first law sates: an object continues in a state of rest or in a state of motion at a constant velocity (constant speed in a constant direction), unless compelled to change that state by a net force. Sometimes this law is referred to as the law of inertia, where inertia is explained as being the natural tendency of an object to remain at rest or in motion at a constant velocity. The second law states that: when a net external force acts on an object of mass m, the acceleration that results is directly proportional to the net force and has a magnitude that is inversely proportional to the mass. The direction of the acceleration is the same as the direction of the net force. Lastly, the third law states: Whenever one object exerts a force on a second object, the second object exerts an oppositely directed force of equal magnitude on the first object. By knowing these three laws we can
depending on what you are learning. Learning to ollie on a skateboard was one of the hardest things i ever did. To know how to do a ollie you would place both of your feet on the board and slide the foot thats in front up towards the nose of the board with the right foot coming down on the tail at the end with your weight and some pressure at the same time.
How do you teach a person to ride a skateboard. When you say you want to get a skateboard you can look on the internet you can look for a place that seals skateboards. You need to get a skateboard because you cannot ride air. You also need a friend that might know how to ride. Just so they can give you a little push just so you can get going. Then you need padding just to keep safe. And to keep yourself from getting hurt.
