A construction worker was critically injured while he was working on a crane on the overpass of Miramar Parkway. The police officers stated that the accident occurred around 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015. The man was airlifted to the hospital. The accident caused a traffic delay between I-75 and Miramar Parkway. The entrance and exit ramps were temporarily shut down on I-75.
The construction work was being done to ease the traffic congestion in South Broward. Construction is set to be complete in 2016. The condition of the man hurt in the construction accident has not yet been released.
