An interesting fact is that only 3 countries don’t use the metric system. Another interesting fact is that at one point Canada did not use metric. The Metric system Is a system of measurement that is as said earlier is used in most countries.The Us is one of the few that doesn't use metric. The reason this is because most countries deemed it suitable, but the U.S still uses Imperial measurement. In short the United States should convert to the metric system because conversion from standard to metric is difficult, the metric system is more precise, and people already use metric in the US anyway.

Quantitative risk analysis involves steps, calculations and tools to have a good analysis. The steps involve with this method from (wikibooks n.d) includes: assigning value to assets, Estimating potential loss per threat, Performing a threat analysis and Deriving the overall loss potential per threat. Firstly, in order to assign an accurate value to an asset, all tangible and intangible assets must be identified. For instance a company may have a server and to determine the value of the server, the important of the server to the company and the cost of losing server are factors that helps in determining the value for the server. Secondly, the potential loss per threat should be estimated. If a server is hacked, how much loss will it cost to the company? To know that, the Single Loss Expectancy (SLE) has to be calculated. SLE is the asset value (AV) times the exposure factor (EF). Thirdly, risk analysis have to be performed. In the case of a server being stolen, it has to be determine how many times in a year can it happen. To know this, the Annual Rate of Occurrence (ARO) have to be calculated. Also, the overall loss potential per threat have to be known. I don’t think that I necessarily agreed with my outcome on this assessment either. Jung’s seemed to hit the mark a little more for me. I think, you already knew what you want, where you fit, and the outcome of any of the test really didn’t matter much. I think it is always nice when someone or something backs you on a decision you make. This assessment left me feeling somewhat deflated, or maybe not elated better.

Some opponents may argue that it is too late to convert to the metric system, yet America is already a metric-standard hybrid. Therefore, it would not be a drastic change. Moreover, it is an easy system to pick up and doesn’t require much skill to learn. To convert units in the metric system, you simply move the decimal point to the right or left. The metric system is a lot more logical as it uses powers-of-10, whereas our system is inconsistent. Also, the metric system really only has one unit for each item of measurement. For example, meters. Add a prefix such as kilo- for a bigger distance or a prefix such as mili- to make it a shorter distance. On the contrary, in the United State’s system, for example, there are inches, feet, yards, and miles, all of which don’t have much of a relation (twelve inches in a foot, three feet in a yard and 1,760 yards in a mile).
