Admission: Business Accounting I am a hardworking, outgoing and self-motivated high school student. The program I have applied for is business accounting. I am convinced that I possess a unique blend of skills that will enable me to successfully complete this program. To begin with, I am quite comfortable working with figures. I regard my love for figures to have come by default. From a very young age my dad who happens to be a mathematics professor saw to it that I developed the necessary analytical capabilities through regular coaching. Hence I have over time developed great passion for analytical subjects including business accounting. I regard my being comfortable with figures an essential skill that will help me succeed in this particular program. Further, I have also been an avid reader of financial magazines and journals. In that regard, I possess significant knowledge on the workings of business. This I will combine with my liking for figures to enhance my chances of success in this particular program. Apart from the skills I highlight above, I also possess numerous hobbies and interests which I am convinced will enhance my chances of success in this program. To begin with, I like socializing and meeting new people. I believe that individual success is anchored on the collective effort of those around us. With that in mind, I am of the opinion that my outgoing nature will enable me to interact with others including but not limited to my colleagues and instructors.
Along with these values, I have several reasons why I am applying to the Accounting Master’s Program. The first is that I am not
For me accounting is personal. As an immigrant, life has seldom been easy. It has been marked by continuous sacrifice, unfamiliar settings, and unnerving trials. From an early age I witnessed my parents painstakingly keep track of their income and expenses in order to make ends meet. Such trying moments were the early signs of my inclination towards accounting. In essence, these painful experiences stirred something within me, something that culminated into a passion. After exposure to numerous accountants and academic courses, I was firmly convinced accounting was my calling. In pursuing my calling, I attended Miami Dade Honors College and earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Accounting. Afterwards, I transferred to Florida International University, where I hope to acquire my Bachelor of Accounting in April 2018.
When I decided to become an engineer, I thought hard on what that entailed. I saw myself working on hands on projects with a skill and proficiency that I could truly be proud of. That's why after listening to the presentation for Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology in my freshman year here at Texas A&M I knew that this major was the best fit for me. The mentioning of learning how to manufacture and produce things from conception to finished product was very exciting to me. I also appreciate that the education is very application oriented rather than just teaching theoretical content. I feel that this directly prepares one for a future career in industry and this sense of job security is what really attracted me to this engineering
The purpose of accounting is to provide the information that needed to make sound economic decisions. It is one of the oldest professions in the world today, and the backbone of any business operation. It is not just about numbers, accounting is about planning. Accounting has many subfields, which includes management accounting, financial accounting, and cost accounting. Accounting can be a prestigious career, but to achieve that prestige you will have pass the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam and become a licensed accountant, and with that license you can work in any of the subfields.
To describe myself, I’m a creative artist and can work independently. I’m elaborate, which makes it uncommon for me to overlook details. By the help of my incredible teachers, I’ve learned math and science concepts efficiently and thoroughly. I’m not a know-it-all like Hermione from Harry Potter, and I have a willingness to listen and learn that will make me an asset to the program. I’m looking forward to gaining knowledge, to meeting brilliant people, and to honing my problem-solving skills through my experience in the WAS
At this point in my college career, I have reached the limit as to what the Miami-Dade Honors College can offer me. So far I have pursued an Associate in Arts degree in Biology and am looking forward to the next step in my education. My experiences here have allowed me to grow heavily both as a student and an individual, but I am limited in the amount of resources currently available to me. For example, I do not have the variety of courses and study abroad opportunities that four-year college students have. Hence, I have taken all the science and math courses towards my associates degree at Miami-Dade College, but I am left to explore other options to continue to advance my preparation for a career in the science field. This is because I have
Prior to our recent move to Oregon, I had become quite comfortable with life in Northern New York and had applied for Empire State College as an important part of my future education. When looking into colleges to continue my education, SUNY Empire State College seemed to shine brighter than the rest. I had initially come across the Military Times Magazine and noticed that SUNY Empire State College had been recognized as “Best for Vets” for the past five years. In speaking and hearing the positive experiences of Soldiers who are current students or alumni, my interest deepened. Ultimately, I enrolled and I hope to continue in advancing my career as a History teacher through studies at SUNY Empire State College.
I have a strong work ethic, the ability to encourage others and articulate ideas confidently. I embrace challenges and understand that the ability to learn from mistakes is a growth opportunity. There is always something to learn from others and it is important to welcome new ideas. I strongly believe these combination of values and traits underpin who I am and play a crucial role in how I interact with people, develop ideas, and address challenges. As unique as my fingerprints, the combination of the character traits that I have gained from my experiences propel me to strive to overcome obstacles, accomplish goals, and position me well to make significant gains and contributions as a student at Towson University and
The University of Texas, home of the Longhorns, is ranked the thirtieth best college in the world and number one for accounting in the United States, which will give me the chance to further extend knowledge about the field of accounting.
Thank you for emailing me regarding my interest in the MS in Accountancy program at Bentley University. In fact, I looked at the program as you recommended, and I think that is very interesting. The participants will get the necessary financial and technology tools for being competitive on the market. However, I would like to know if a student will be ready for the CPA exam after taking part in this program? then, could you let me know how long is the process of selection? What kind of paper should an eventual participant expect to prove? What will be the schedule of the program?

The vision that I have for my future and career is a positive one. I started my MBA program at GCU with a positive attitude, determination to stay in the program and complete it successfully. My desire and vision after I complete my program is to take up a new challenge of starting my own small business in the area of non-medical Care Giving Services. This business will give me a great deal of opportunities to utilize all that I’ve learnt throughout my program. Through the small business that I’m looking to set up, I will have the opportunity to offer quality Care Giving Services to clients who have disabilities of one form or another. Not all clients get the quality care that they deserve in the care giving business, so I will focus on rendering loving and compassionate care that will make life easier for our clients. The services rendered and our core values will be in the best interest of the clients.
Throughout the course of my workplace practices class I have participated in a consisted of completing assignments and work experience regarding my career pathways. As I look back and reflect on my time at this course, I am able to explore the graduate qualities and capabilities I have achieved over the duration of this study period, as well as the skills and abilities I need to improve on. Graduate qualities are skills that have been learned by students throughout the course of their schooling life, for example, it is a learning outcome of a program specifically stating the things that's been learned by students who have completed that program of study. In this reflection, I will be discussing about my strength and weakness personal
One of the great mysteries of life is what the future holds. Knowledge of the present and past is clear but no one, no matter how intelligent or wise, is capable of predicting what the future might bring. Many try and, in some marginal way, are correct in their predictions but for most the future is the great unknown.
Growing up in a business-oriented household consisted of being exposed to, and witnessing talks of business management — be it at in-house parties or out at dinners — from a very young age, which I believe has impacted my upbringing and passions to a great extent. Along with a substantial inclination towards Business Management, I also had a keen interest in the field of Accounting, which I became more aware of at the age of around nine. Most kids resent going to the bank with their fathers, however, for me, it was always a source of amusement and gratification. As a child, I would witness my father give cash to the banker and/or vice versa, which would leave me to ponder about what exactly was going on. This eagerness to have the know-how of money and what goes behind it made me discover my true passion.
