Sue Bird, one of the greatest basketball point guards in the history of the WNBA has passed away today at the age of 36.
With her death Bird has left behind a list of honorable achievements and accolades. According to benchreport Bird is one of the most decorated basketball sports has ever seen.
From a young age Bird exemplified her passion for basketball by winning two state titles for her high school team right at the start of her career. Also taking home MVP the 1998 state tourtornament.
Her accomplishments continued as Bird went on to win two National Championships at UConn, two WNBA Championships with the Seattle Storm and another two gold medals with USA Basketball all before her 30th birthday, according to her website.
