Summary Of Dr. Seuss, The Big Red Dog, And The Classic Series Of Dr

Over and over in my head, I hear the wise words of Dr. Seuss "one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish." My mom read these very words to me on my first Christmas in 1998. It was on this same day that I received my first set of crayons, coloring books, and children 's books. Life was no longer about naps and play time, the emphasis on my education was about to begin. Almost immediately it was as if my life of just fun was over. From that point on, my mother was not my playmate anymore, she became my first teacher. So, of course, when I think of someone who has influenced me in several different ways, but most importantly in reading and writing, I think of my mother, Jessica. Early on in my childhood, my mother would read me my favorite books. Among those were, Where The Wild Things Are, A Bad Case Of Stripes, Clifford The Big Red Dog, and the classic series of Dr. Seuss books. Those are some of the best memories I have with my mom. While she has had a big influence with my reading and writing, she has also pushed me in several other aspects of my life such as basketball, developing a good character, and growing as a person. My mother is the most important and most influential person in my life and everyday is a testament how great of a role model she is. Being the second of three boys to a single mother has been a roller coaster with all of its ups and downs. Through every obstacle, my mother has always found a way to navigate through the tough time for our family. To
