Narrator: In the land of Equestria, there lived many ponies together in harmony under the control of the two sisters Celestia and Luna. The eldest one was the loneliest, despite her younger sister for company she still felt empty inside. But, out of all her subjects there was on Pegasus that achieved her attention. His name was Cloud Racer, for he was one to put his heart all in into the things that he does, that is what caught the princesses eye. Fortunately, Cloud Racer had the same feelings for her, he would come up with many ways just to see her, until one day he got tired of making excuses. He went up to the princess and proposed, of course she said yes. After …show more content…

To begin, Beowulf the poem has a unknown author, Beowulf is an epic poem. In Beowulf he is challenged by the murderous monster Grendel, Grendel is eating and slaughtering Hrothgar the King of the Danes men and people, the king needs Beowulf 's help in defeating Grendel, Beowulf ends up killing the monster and is now tormented by the monster 's mother that is much larger, she is no match for Beowulf and he kills her as well, lastly it is Beowulf’s last battle after he has been king of Geatland for fifty years, he has to defeat the dragon and he does but dies shortly after. In this essay I will be explaining how lof, comitatus, and wyrd is very important to Beowulf’s culture.
Heroism is defined as "the qualities or attributes of a hero or heroine." (Google). Destiny is defined as "something that is to happen or has happened to a particular person or thing; lot or fortune. The predetermined, usually inevitable or irresistible, course of events." (Google). Finally A journey is defined as "an act of traveling from one place to another." (Google). While analyzing these two great epics I came across many similarities between the two main characters. In both epics The Odyssey and Sundiata: An Epic of Old Mali Odysseus and Sundiata embark on destined heroic conquest to fulfill their destiny. All throughout the two main characters quest, they encounter obstacles, and foes they must overcome in order to achieve their goal of returning home. In Homers Odyssey, numerous exemplar of the two main themes heroism and destiny are evident, whether they are for the advantage or destruction of Odysseus. In Niane 's Sundiata: An Epic of Old Mali, The theme of heroism and destiny appear bold and unavoidable throughout the narrative, for Sundiata is abundantly afflicted by how people accept him. If it were not for the fore told destiny of Odysseus and Sundiata they would not be such astounding Kings.
"My name is Ponyboy I am Sodapop, and Darry's kid brother. Would you like to come to Dairy queens with me?"
“Quite a friend you got there.” Sabra teased. “They left and now you’re all alone, if you know something, I’d suggest you speak now.”
While running across the fields, I could see their powerful muscles moving just under their skin. The first horse to reach the gate is the spotted brown and white horse. He reaches his short neck over the fence and nuzzles my hand, begging me to pet him. Reaching up I ruffle his short black forelock and scratch his favorite spot behind his perky ears. Once the other two horses reach their gate, I walk up to them and love on them as well. The lighter red colored one immediately snuffles around my hand with his whiskery, yet velvety, nose, hoping for an apple flavored treat. The darker liver colored horse turns his fuzzy ears back and moves the more submissive horse away. I give them each a kiss on their heads in between their gentle brown eyes, and breathe in their comforting horsey
"Stop right there, First it's a full moon tonight, so don't get too excited now " I said." I guess we can't enjoy the party now as we have to watch Scott and be his babysitter tonight, so pick me up at Seven alright" I walked over to the door ready to leave, but I looked over to Stiles, who still looking at me smiling , I rolled my eyes "okay , I admitted this is pretty exciting that our best friend might be a werewolf"
It was night, and I was walking Kaitlyn, my best friend, back to her house from the park. “Thanks, it was fun hanging with you”, she says smiling.
I’d seen this girl at PE on the first day of school. She was in second grade too! They came to my seat. Anna, who seemed lively and kind, said to me “What is your name? I am Anna.” I replied to her “I… I um.. I’m Daisy.” Anna and I played together at PE today. Anna influenced me by telling me funny jokes and her being my friend made me exited
Lori McCard’s relationship with Hero started long before she saw him in the pasture more than a year ago. For years, Lori had not only trained and competed with Hero, but she had also formed a very special bond with the horse. When Lori’s hectic schedule no longer allowed her enough time to work with Hero, she sold him to a family with children. After several years, he eventually ended up in a pasture without the kind of care and attention he needed. When the family made the tough decision to find a new home for Hero, they remembered how much Lori had loved the horse and the strong bond that had existed between the two. That’s when she got the call. Would she be willing to take him? The decision was easy.
“Likewise.” I wasn’t happy about giving him my sweaty palm but he sort of threw me off balance. I didn’t expect that. “Elsa, my name’s Elsa.”
There was once a princess who lived happily in her castle with her mother and father, her name was Olithia. Years later when Olithia was 6 years old her mother died from sickness and her father did not want his daughter to grow up motherless. But by the things he heard in the other land last year about Cinderella’s stepmother, he was worried. 5 years later when the King went with guards in the forest he met a woman that lived in the woods, he was captivated by her beauty, but he always kept his daughter first. They went on to date for a whole year and Olithia was fine with it they got along great when she usually came over for dinner or parties. One day Olithia’s father the King proposed to the woman. They got married as Olithia was now becoming
This is an example of foreshadowing, the words that come from a previous statement shows that the valley is healthy and beautiful while the keyword “forlorn” points to something else. The author is describing the land, this is imagery because I can picture all of these things in my head. There is a change in the tone, the author’s view of the land went from beautiful and full of life to it all dying. The author describes how the land of Ixopo is becoming bleak. Early in the chapter, the author states that the land is getting destroyed and there is no life left. This shows that without the land man could not thrive. I think this motif may be telling us to care for what we have than waste it thinking it will last without our care. This shows that
In March 2010, my parents decided to find another horse for me to ride. I was no longer going to Bunker Hills and I started to ride my dad’s friends horse. My dad friend ran out of time to do lessons with me. I was not able to ride. When March came my parents went horse searching to find a horse I could ride. They finally came across this sweet horse named Lucie and that month I started doing lessons on her. This horse was so special to me, I treated like she was mine and only mine. She was in away my parents leased her.
Craig says, “It was nice meeting you two, I’m sure we can do more in the future.”
The third and hopefully final horse addition to our family was the POA. His name is appropriately, Pony. Pony is 15 years old, this makes him middle aged in the horse world. Of course with age, comes wisdom. In the horse world, with age usually comes dominance as well, Pony should be the leader of the herd based on his age, but Storm, being our first, will not let that happen.
