Since The Voice is not a comedy and does not resonate highly with the same target audience it is not seen as a direct threat. However, a new show on NBC will be coming on right after The Voice called Revolution. The show may attract some of the same target audience but since it is not a comedy, those that are looking for something much more comedic will turn to ABC.
FOX: On Monday nights at 9:00pm on FOX an hour-long show called The Following comes on, it is not a comedy but it does appeal to some of the same target audience. The show that comes on right before The Following is Bones, which is another crime show. Research shows that our target audience finds interest in the crime shows, therefore although Bones does not come on at the same time, it is possible that the target audience will decide to watch one show over the other.
the CW: On Monday nights at 9:00pm on the CW the popular show 90210 comes on. The show is popular among high school and early college students but also appeals to the target audience which makes the CW’s 90210 a direct competitor. Even though 90210 is not a comedy is has been around for, going on, six seasons and has viewer loyalty.
Show Overview- The American adaptation of Summer Heights High, to match the target audience and to have independent brand awareness from the Australian version will be renamed to Summer Heights U, “U” standing for university. It was decided to stick with the

The Australian produced show Summer Heights High, is created and written by Chris Lilley, it was directed by Stuart McDonald. It was a mockumentary which takes place at Summer Heights Heigh, it was filmed over a school term. The show was centered around three characters Jonah, Ja’mie and a drama teacher called Mr.G. The show followed these three characters around displaying what their every day life is like. Jonah is a 13 year old boy from Tongah who has disciplinary problems and does not like to participate at school. Ja’mie is a private school girl that is on an exchange program. She is the typical snobby private school girl that thinks she is better then everyone else, she also thinks she can get away with anything. Mr G is
Freedom Summer was a nonviolent effort by civil rights activists to integrate Mississippi's segregated political system during 1964. It raised the consciousness of millions of people to the troubles of African-Americans and the need for change. Americans all around the country were shocked by the killing of civil rights workers and the brutality they witnessed on their televisions. For nearly a century, segregation had prevented most African-Americans in Mississippi from voting or holding public office. Segregated housing, schools, workplaces, and public accommodations denied black Mississippians access to political or economic power.
National Honor Society is known for having extraordinary students whom possess strong leadership, constant determination, and also structured character. Though there are various students who have what it takes to become a member of the National Honor Society I feel that I should be one of them. From the beginning of my Freshmen year, I had a strong desire to find my path early in life and choose a career I would like to pursue as time went on. Realizing my passion for shopping was just the beginning, and though most girls all have this love for clothes I saw it differently, and began to explore the fashion industry by researching and reading up on the latest news. The electives I took in 9th grade, which were studio and art and fashion
The television network, known for its popular shows such as Game of Thrones, is adding another category notch to its belt.
Summer Heights High is an Australian mockumentary series which uses satirical devices to depict the public school system, and its teachers and students in a negative light. The creator, Chris Lilley, portrays these subjects using stereotypes, irony, and hyperbole. The show focuses much attention on the main three characters; Hellen "Mr G." Gregson, an overenthusiastic high school drama teacher; Ja'mie King, a teenage girl doing an exchange programme from a private school to a public school; and Jonah Takalua, a Tongan troublemaker. These characters are all represented in a very exaggerated, stereotypical way, throughout the series.
Royalton High School follows a 7 period day schedule, 50 minutes class periods, typically 5 days a week beginning at 8:15am and ending at 3:22pm. A regularly scheduled day consists of seven four minute passing periods and a 15 minute homeroom at the end of the day. Homeroom is not considered as a scheduled class, and even though it is not required, it is still beneficial to many students. The sole purpose of homeroom is to inform students of extracurricular activities, scholarships and college visits, the announcements, and reduce class absences.

”Bye students. Have a great summer,” the teacher yells over the bell. Happiness and joy fills the classrooms as everyone leaves the room talking about their summer plans with their friends and family. This is the way it should be,but what if all that was taken away just like that? and the joy of summer vacation suddenly disappeared? All you had planned to have with the people you were closest with. How would you feel if all of that was gone? That's why we shouldn't have year-round schooling, because it complicates schedules, add to costs, and with year round schooling

Schools have been around since 1837. The first one was created by Horace Mann. He was also called, “Father of the Common School Movement” (Why was school created?). His idea was to have the teacher create a curriculum to teach to the students. School are still like this today. They’re are based off a curriculum and they must teach it in that school year. Each school year is 180 days within about nine months and three months off in the summer.
Imagine it is the very end of the school year. The sun is shining brightly and heat courses down on the heads of eager students of Forest Park. Summer vacation is here! Right? A break from the tests, homework, and hard work is finally deserved, right? Maybe not.
First, Veronica Mars would be placed after Gilmore Girls on Tuesdays due to the similar viewers and also the similarity of the protagonists of the shows. Everwood would be shown on Mondays before Runaway. I think it makes sense to put a well-regarded show like Everwood, which has a strong fan base, before the new show. This would allow viewers to try a new show and continue watching. 7th Heaven, a very established show, would then be shown Wednesdays after America’s Next Top Model.
For example, fans of a true crime show like Forensic Files or Dateline may spend an hour a day catching up on an episode they may have missed. Other
It seems that you can’t turn on a television set anymore without a reality show being on. All networks have recently started to pump out reality shows left and right. And why wouldn’t they? Reality shows are highly rated, with three of them being in the top ten on the Nielsen ratings chart. In fact, these shows are becoming more popular than the sitcoms and dramas aired. New sitcoms and dramas struggle to get attention of the public when going against a reality show. Programs such as The Beast and Go Fish, which critics loved and raved about, are victims of the wrath of reality shows. These shows are now cancelled.
