King gives readers an image of destruction civil disobedience had created in the black community, especially in the young innocent little children.

There is a border that blockades these friends from being equal. They are so used to not going that they don’t know what will happen if they do as stated, “My mama says I shouldn’t go on the other side.” These kids don’t care about the color of their skin, they care about what is on the inside not the outside.

Not only can it be difficult to see the world from another perspective other than your own, but people can be held back from their limited views of the outside world. Small town people, such as the people in Maycomb County, can have inflexible opinions about the outlooks of other people; therefore, this can cause several of the misunderstandings in this book. Understanding the perspectives of alternative ideas of people can be a topic that is brought up more often as we grow up making it a strenuous topic for narrow minds to grasp. Scout, who lives her life as an acutely black or white person, was never taught how to view the world from a “grey” perspective. In Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout discovers precious life lessons, views

William Blake’s “The Tyger” in Songs of Experience, written in 1794, describes the Tyger as “fearful” while appreciating its beauty. During this time, Blake was one of the first people to see a tiger; this inspired him to write “The Tyger” and paint the creature as a majestic but fierce being. Although the origins of the Tyger are questioned, the creator is referred as “he” implying a male divine creator. While examining who or what created the Tyger, in addition to the industrial and fiery imagery, the answer could reveal what the Tyger symbolizes. William Blake’s “The Tyger,” in Songs of Experience, uses the creation of the Tyger, along with the dark, fiery environment, to argue the Tyger belongs to the creator's world and was created for a purpose; although the creature may be labeled as evil and symbolizes the negative parts of the human mind, the creature represents the other half to create a whole.
