Tecumseh is a name renowned for a war in 1812 and Tecumseh's War. He was a Shawnee pioneer and drove a substantial ancestral alliance which opposed the United States amid Tecumseh's War. Tecumseh was in alliance with Britain in the War of 1812. Tecumseh was seen as a natural leader; someone with great charisma who was involved in a number of wars. He grew up while the American Revolutionary War and the Northwest Indian War were ongoing. Tecumseh envisioned a day when Native Americans were not dependent even in the face of colonists that were approaching the west. He is famous for the Tecumseh’s War which aggravated into the War of 1812. The War of 1812 involved the Siege of Detroit and the Battle of Thames (Yagelski).
Tecumseh's War is also known as Tecumseh's Rebellion. The war ensued as a result of a conflict between the American Indian confederacy and the United States Army. This motivated Tecumseh to be an ally to the British. Destruction happened in the town of the prophet in September 1811 while Tecumseh was on his way for the recruitment of allies. William Henry destroyed the town with a thousand men. Tecumseh did not relent in his efforts to build allies on his return from the south despite the Battle of Tippecanoe being a setback. Tecumseh was able to lay siege to Detroit with the help of the British. He died October 1813 during the Battle of Thames, near Moravian town.
