The Beatles were a British band that was very popular in the 1960’s. This band consisted of 4 people: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and last but not least: Ringo Starr (my personal favorite). Lennon and McCartney performed together in Liverpool in 1957 (Liverpool is a city in northwest England). The band had an affection for American rock and roll music. Lennon and McCartney first started the band and they are self-taught musicians with the fact that Lennon learned the guitar and McCartney being a bassist, they were also singers.

John and Paul had conversations which lead to John asking Paul if he would like to join the band. Paul was puzzled at the beginning but in the end Paul said yes.
