Out of all of the founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin in my opinion is the one who had the greatest impact on our nation and still has a great influence on our nation today. Mostly people are familiar with Benjamin Franklin from his head being on the front of the 100 dollar bill, but there’s more to him than just his face being on the 100 dollar bill. He made a huge impact on us and not everyone realizes it, but that’s how he made it on the 100 dollar bill. Not only was Benjamin Franklin apart of founding our nation, he was also scientist, diplomat, businessman, and philosopher. Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17th, 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts to soap maker Josiah Franklin and his second wife Abigail Folger. Benjamin Franklin was apart of a big family and he was the 10th child out of 16 siblings. His siblings names were Jane Mocum, James Franklin, Anne Harris, Joseph Franklin I,  Samuel Franklin, Sarah Davenport, Mary Holmes, Hannah Cole, Josiah Franklin Jr, Ebenzer Franklin, Peter Franklin, Thomas Franklin, John Franklin, Lydia Scott, Elizabeth Douse, and Joseph Franklin II.  When Benjamin Franklin was younger his father wanted him to become a preacher, so he sent him away to a grammar school when he was only eight years old. Although many before him were unquestionably successful, Franklin was able to prevail from nothing to something greater; America’s Genius. That is why he is a self-made man. He was a man who invested in himself in order to become a great man. He had to grow rather quickly to survive in poverty. In result, his curious nature and determination caused him to be successful in many things. In result, Franklin was a man of many careers. He was a printer, writer, inventor, scientist, and a civil servant. The young man made no room for failure; he did not condone his situation as a child to stop him from approving his mind, body, and soul.

The most important contribution of Benjamin Franklin in history is his contribution to the development of the new United States Constitution. In addition to this, Benjamin Franklin took advantage of all that life had to throw at him and extracted positivity out of everything life had to offer. He is often called the “First American” as he was a very good entrepreneur and a polymath. Benjamin Franklin was a man who showed positive attitude towards the developments around him and clipped the best out of every

Benjamin Franklin was a very intelligent and interesting man. He became a printer and a writer. Also invented the lightning rod and flippers for scuba diving. We use all of these things today if it wasn’t for him than we would not have those things and we couldn’t scuba dive, protect buildings with a lightning rod. It’s a good thing we had Benjamin Franklin because he was a very big part of American history. But later in his years after his wife croaked he became a French ambassador, after he came back to the States and went back into politics and published a writing against slavery. He then died in 1790 and twenty thousand people showed up to his funeral, so he was a loved man everywhere.
