Shakespeare Shakespeare was born in Stratford in 1564 April 23rd.He was the third child of 8. His father was a respected man.He was the oldest surviving child of John and Mary Shakespeare. He then was the older brother of 3 younger brothers, Gilbert, Richard, and Edmund. His father was a leather worker. Then, when William was 5 his father became the bailiff. At the age of 7 Shakespeare attended grammar school. He learned about Latin for medicine and the ancient language of Rome. He stopped at about the age of 15. On Nov. 28th 1582 he received a license to marry Anne Hathaway he was only 18 young to marry, on the other hand Anne was 26 the normal age to be wed. It was believed that the marriage was hurried because Anne was pregnant. Anyways the family had known each other. He had his first child in 1583 her name was Susanna. Then, in 1585 he had twins their names were Judith and Hamnet. Shakespeare's first work published was called Venus and Adonis. He wrote at least 34 plays and over 150 short and long poems. Which are considered to be the finest in English. All of his plays and poems have been interpreted in every major language. When Shakespeare got to London he went straight to find a company. He wrote about 2 plays a year for his company to use. And by 1612 he became England's most successful playwright. He wrote 38 plays in all. All of his work is full of brilliant images. From 1594 to 1608 he was fully involved in London's theater world. During this he was ranked London's most popular playwright. Everybody considered him a genius. At 1590 his reputation was being sold by books. During this time he became prosperous. He used many unusual words to bring his work to life. Creating Tragedies and Comedies. His reputation was being sold because of how fine his art was. The Lord Chamberlain's Men was one of the most popular companies in the London due to Shakespeare's talent. His influence in the theatre was supreme. He was with the company for most of his career. By 1592 we found that Shakespeare's work was considered popular literature. He earned 60 pounds a year by buying real estate getting 400 pounds. In 1609 he published 154 sonnets. The words he used are still being used now. In
