A success is an aim that is achieved. After you achieve your goal you can reap the benefits of success. Sometimes you can gain wealth and fame. Taylor Swift and Oprah Winfrey, famous celebrities, are seen as successful. They have built a life-long legacy for themselves that ensures that they will be remembered forever. However, not all successes involve world renown. Success can be minuscule to some, but a life changing experience to others. The way I define success is a triumph.
In life, there are many milestones like obtaining your driving license, moving out of your parent’s house, paying for your first car. A milestone is a personalized success stepping stone to a long-term goal. One milestone that I have finally reached is becoming
Success is an interesting word to all of us, from the earliest age even to the grave’s edge we cannot be indifferent to it. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines success as the fact of getting or achieving wealth (“Success”). However, an
Success has a unique meaning to everyone. To me, success means doing what I love, being happy, and to make good money.
The definition of success is in the eye of the beholder. More than three-fourths of your life is spent working to become successful. People are told during childhood to work as hard as they can so they can grow up and make lots of money. But the word success can be taken in many different ways. Everyone has a different understanding of what success means to them. Generally, success means fulfilling the goals that you set for yourself. For some, success is measured by popularity and riches; for others success is determined by the amount of happiness that they feel.
The definition of success differs from person to person. According to the “Poolside” Cadillac commercial, success is having a large house, nice family and a new car. How is that success accomplished? According to the mainstream media, success is achieved through hard work and perseverance. Not by taking extravagant vacations, or working for only a few hours a day. Success for others on the other hand could be having a large amount of free time. The media gives examples of what they think success is, but ultimately it’s up to the person to decide what is success is.
What is the real definition of success, in fact is there even a definition? Well, in the book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell it is the story of success. Some successful people are born with talent, and skills. As others may have to put in hard work to get to where they are. Every successful person is different, which means there is no definition for being successful. Being successful is made of many different categories. Many successful people are born with talents, put in hard work, and are different from everyone else.
Success to most people is to achieve something or win but instead of this success is much more than this it can fit into many different scenarios as different things. But if there was only one most common definition of success it would be to achieve a goal or a overcome a problem. Success defined this way can fit into our everyday lives because we overcome these issues and are successful. Even this can fit into the world of fantasy or text because they overcome their problems and challenges that the characters are faced with.
Is Success all about wealth and popularity? Or does it have a deeper meaning than what we perceive. Success: an accomplishment of an aim or purpose. We all seem to want success. We all tend to seek it. “Success” seems to be the magic word for what we chase after, prepare for, choose, and desire. It’s how we often define our lives. Money, fame, and power are often what we have been told make up success.
As it is commonly used, the word "success" is sometimes synonymous with another word — "winning." Success is beating the other guy and getting the big salary. Success is what happens when other people think you're a success or when you can convince them of it.
All around there are many different viewpoints of what success means. One person could read straight from the dictionary and tell you that’s what they view success to be. As for me, success is accomplishing something you put your all into. What better feeling than to see the results you were striving for come true in front of your eyes or even just the feeling inside. Success is not all about the money, simply put because money doesn’t buy happiness. The money that was earned could be the reward received from what your success in, or something even more valuable to one person. The feeling of changing someone’s life for the better for the both of you, or to dedicate your life to something you love with your whole heart and whole soul, basically
What is success? The definition of success I believe is very personal and will be different for everyone. Success to some people is when they start earning a lot of money, but to me success is when I’ve accomplished the goals to be able to do my dream job. Something that I can look forward to everyday and easily wake up in the morning feeling happy and positive, instead of trying to drag myself out of bed complaining about the day ahead of me. Success is also the feeling of finally being able to give back to my parents, and have them live comfortably. In other words success to me is living a life I can feel proud of.
What is success? Is it the process of doing a task and receiving a positive result acceptable amongst the community, or is it simply achieving ones own personal goals? Success to me can mean many things. Although I am successful in school, that does not necessarily mean I will lead a successful life.
What makes someone a success? In my opinion, to be a success you must be viewed as one by others by achieving a difficult goal. Anyone can feel successful, depending on how they define success, but that does not mean others will think they are a success. I believe a big part of the idea of success is your point of view. I also think that in order to be seen as a success you must accomplish a goal that will astonish others.
Success is a difficult word to define. Many people believe being famous is the same thing as success. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s definition of success is “the fact of getting or achieving wealth, respect, or fame.” My definition of success is the feeling you get when you know you did something right. I don’t believe that success has to have anything to do with fame or wealth. I believe success can definitely be achieved without those things.
There are always two parts to a definition of a word. One is what society as a whole develops to be the definition and the other is what you yourself think the definition of the word is. With the word success deriving all the way, back to the sixteenth century, from the Latin word successus with the meaning at time being “come close after.” We can all agree that the word has come a long way and has dramatically changed throughout the years, picking up a couple words along the way and also dropping a few. According to Merriam Webster success is defined as, “the fact of getting or achieving wealth, respect, or fame”, or as Oxford Dictionary defines it as “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” With that being said Oxford says you must accomplish
Success; everyone wants it, few achieve it. Success is subjective, it could mean obtaining an education, being able to take over the family, achieving one’s life goals or making money because it is subjective, it can be wrong. A person may be successful, but depressed and have no sign of happiness in life, or he or she could make horrible decisions that destroy his or her path of success. Although one could be thought of as successful, it is impossible to achieve complete success in every aspect of life. One so focused on obtaining an education might let every other aspect of his or her life rot, resulting in failures. Its actual definition from the dictionary is, “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose”.
