50 years ago in 1966 the family wasn’t the same as it is now, we have new technologies and a different set of view and beliefs. If education never changes, we would never move forward we would be stuck. In one of my favorite books Anthem they are stuck learning the same things never having an original thought. This is how I imagine the educational system would be if it never changed. In 1966 the definition of family was so different, now a family could be anything then it was strictly a man and woman with kids. This is one of the biggest changes in the family in the past 50 years along with so many others.

Education was not something that was looked at as important in the early 1800’s, education is forever changing just like the economy, fashion and cultural views. Society is changing just as much as an education, so how are they related? With the views on religion, marriage and gender equality education in America is being changed to fit society’s needs and beliefs. We are constantly hearing things about human rights like gender natural bathrooms, no religious ideas and girls not being paid equally. These things all affect the educational system, we have a system based on societal changes.

Some issues we face in the schooling system are the way we’re being taught, I have a teacher who only read from the textbook if I wanted to know what was in the textbook I would read it. But that’s not all with the ever raised tuition rates and the pressure to do well and finish on top. These are only a few there are so many problems with the school system today. There is a large number students using drugs and alcohol,students being bullying, dropping out, suffering from depression and so much more.
