Climate change, which is also global warming, is a major problem in the world. It is not a problem that is just for today 's society but also goes back to thousand of years. Climate change affects animal lives by affecting the way that eggs hatch. It affects animals homes and when that happens then they have to migrate to other areas which they may not be suitable for which then may kill them. It melts the ice caps in cold areas so that polar bears and other animals end up dying because they have nowhere to sit on and because they have swam so much. It also affects humans lives because of permafrost which is soil that freezes and then melts and makes houses, trees, cars or anything else sink. It also affects humans because the temperatures increase which make mosquitoes carrying diseases be out more and when they bite humans they may get it. When the temperatures also increase it causes oceans to dry out which then becomes a desert and then affects animal life under water. Humans have an affect on the way that the air gets polluted. The way that humans have an effect on the air being polluted is that of of the vehicles that they drive which releases negative things into the air. When cars are driven then emissions are released into the atmosphere when then changes the climate and then affects the earth. Factories seem to produce CO2 emissions when they are working on their projects that they have like cars and other things because it releases smoke into the air. Climate change
We might disagree on the causes of global warming; however, we cannot ignore that it is happening. Although we still experience cold winters, average global temperatures has risen drastically for the past three decades. Polar ice caps are melting; as a result, sea levels are rising. Scientist predict more extreme weather in the coming decades, in fact, droughts will probably be more common. Also, flooding and tropical temperatures might cause large amounts of methane gases to be released, which could be disastrous for our atmosphere. Climate change may have human causes and also it might be a natural occurrence. Nevertheless, we must find ways to save our planet.
Climate change has been in debate for many years over whether it is a threat or not, but climate change is a threat and will be for many generations to come. Climate change impacts the sea levels which has a major effect on oceans and marine life, causes more frequent and harsher storms, and puts coastal cities at risk for floods and erosion. Although climate change cost large amounts of money to fix it is killing our oceans and marine life, causes harsher storms, and risks coastal cities.
Climate change has been happening since late nineteenth century, but has increased significant since then. The world’s oceans are steadily warming up and ice is melting. Furthermore, the factories and cars are causes of global warming. There are a lot of cars and factories in the world but its danger for atmosphere. Also, one more causes
Many animals around the world are severely affected by climate change. Climate change is the rise in average temperatures on Earth’s surface. When humans interact with fossil fuels, which are coal, natural gases, and oil, they release carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air. These gases trap heat in the atmosphere and can have a great effect on climate change. These changes include rising sea levels, landscapes being more prone to wildfires, and the pollen season length getting longer. Although these may be important, I think that the most important cause of climate change is how severely animals are affected by this. Animals like polar bears, snow leopards, and the Orang-utan struggle to survive everyday in result of climate
Climate change will create a number of health problems in the near future and become a top social issue. Climate will create more smog which will lead to higher rates of and other heat related illness.” Montreal currently has approximately 70 annual heat related deaths, while Toronto has 20. According to the (World health organization,2015). The statistic shows why this has become a social issue because people are dying every year affecting our society. Climate change also affects our world economy. The country is spending a lot of money trying to combat the issue as the country is losing natural resources as well as expected natural disasters are taking place. In 2013 there was an increase in floodings in the Toronto and Vancouver area due to unexpected weather. The clean-up bill came to $1.9 billion — the single most costly disaster in Canadian history — and 90 per cent of it was on the federal tab because Canadians cannot buy flood insurance”(Moore,2015.) As you can see the impacts of climate change leave the government with having to pay massive amounts money when it could be used for other things like creating jobs but that money is often now lost. Climate change has an effect on the environment. The glaciers in the Antarctic are melting as a result of increased amounts of heat now we are losing a part of
Climate Change- Climate is a long term change in the Earth's weather, especially due to an increase in the average atmospheric temperature. According to research, it was discovered that the Earth's temperature rose by 0.6 degrees Celsius (C) and predicted that the sea surface temperature may rise by up to 1 degrees C over the next 50 years. Unfortunately, carbon dioxide and methane gas levels are the highest they have ever been for the last 420000 years. These two gases with water vapour, nitrous oxide and halocarbons create the five predominate greenhouse gases, effecting the environment greatly. Furthermore, it is evident that an average person release 4 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. Due to this fact, carbon dioxide
Climate Change is happening worldwide because many human activities are causing it. One of these activities is burning fossil fuels. What I learned about climate change was that it affects people around the world. Climate change concerns everybody because it is a global environmental issue. It is one of the important topic that is considered globally. It is also an important topic in the current
Global Warming has been a big issue that has effects on the environment, people, and the world, and if not stopped now, the results could be catastrophic. The main cause of climate change is likely to be the result of too much carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. CO2 creates a blanket which traps heat. Burning fossil fuels for energy, such as coal, oil, and natural gas release CO2 which impacts the atmosphere heavily. Waste management and agricultural practices also produce gases that contribute to climate change, such as methane. There are many contributing factors to climate change.
Climate change is defined as a change within climate patterns that is largely due to increasing levels of carbon emissions in our atmosphere. These emissions create a blanket like layer around the earth that creates a heat reflective surface. As the sun’s rays hit earth, normally it would be bounced back into space but the earth would still retain some heat from the rays that it was hit with. The emissions blanket creates a barrier that traps more rays within the atmosphere of the earth as heat rays have a harder time going through the blanket into space. This keeps the rays stuck in earth which creates the greenhouse effect that leads to the earth slowly heating up. This heat increase is very dangerous to the many species that live within
Human activities such as pollution and deforestation, has changed the climate as a whole, leading to an increased amount of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide to enter the atmosphere. The effects of this has led to higher sea levels, loss of sea ice and an increase in heat waves across the globe.
Climate change is a real phenomenon that is occurring throughout the world and causing problems that stress and cause a variety of problems and issues in society. Some effects of climate change are rising sea levels, increased average temperatures, loss of ice sheet cover, hotter more recurrent droughts and changes in precipitation. Climate change and land degradation have affected the Sahel region of Africa by causing a decrease in arable land and this will lead to conflict and cause millions to become climate change refugees.
"We call them dumb animals, and so they are, for they cannot tell us how they feel, but they do not suffer less because they have no words” (Anna Sewell). There is undeniable evidence that animals are being affected by climate change. Even though the effects are difficult to measure, there are many different ways animals are being affected. With the loss of predator and prey species it affects the life cycles in the food chain. The earth’s climate change causes habitats such as snow, ice, or forest areas to alter, resulting in loss of habitat and food accessibility as well as causing extinction.
Global Warming has a huge affect on our daily lives and on animals. We lose a bunch of natural resources, especially fresh-water, because it melts into the salty oceans; however, attempts have been made including the slowing down of global warming by stopping the usage of fossil fuels; whether the attempts have been successful or not. The earth’s temperature is slowly increasing which is a massive long term factor on inhabitants all over the world. The Amazon Rainforest has also experienced many problems due to deforestation and the water circulation throughout all of the plants and trees. Global Warming is exponentially increasing causing the rapid melting of glaciers, which leads to ocean currents changing and
Climate change is one of the biggest problems the whole world is collectively facing. Even though climate change is partially caused by the natural cycles of Earth, humans I think are still a major part of it and I think that we can do more to protect the environment that we live in. Climate change happens when temperatures increase dramatically. When climate change causes temperature rises many environmental problems can occur here on earth . Temperatures rising can result in more floods, droughts, or flooding rain, as well as more frequent and severe heat waves which can cause wildfires. Oceans and the Antarctic Ice Glaciers have also experienced changes in oceans that are rising temperatures and are becoming more acidic. The Antarctic ice glaciers are melting and sea levels are rising destroying many habitats along the ice glaciers such as penguins and polar bears. As these changes frequently occur in future decades, they will likely present challenges to our society and environment.
Global climate change is real, it has noticeable effects on the environment. Climate change in the earth is caused by numerous activities. When climate change happens; temperatures can rise tremendously. Rapid warming notice nowadays is uncommon in the history of our planet. The rising temperatures will have great effects on the plant’s climate patterns and on all living things. When temperatures increase, different adjustments can occur on earth. For example, it can cause droughts, floods, air pollution, as well as extreme heat waves. Oceans are also experiencing changes: oceans are warming and becoming more acidic, glaciers are melting, and sea levels are rising. As these adjustments will occur in the future, it will cause challenges to our society and environment.
