Theme: A quote I would stand by or approve of is, “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.’”– Muhammad Ali. This quote exemplifies perseverance, grit, and heart. I am satisfied with this quote cause it shows you that hard work and dedication put towards something will improve your skills in that area. You will feel the agony and will want to collapse, but the feeling afterwards will feel incredible. To fight around the pain it takes heart and with that you could accomplish mostly anything The only humanly thing that could possibly detain you from pushing yourself, is yourself. Overall in my opinion if you live up to this you can accomplish many things. This quote speaks to many things from sports, studying, and also your career. Setting: The setting of my life takes place where the majority of my time is spent at home. It takes place in the suburban area, with palm trees, scenery, and quiet cul de sac. But a broader setting of my life would take place around family, friends and sports. Being around the people close to me is the main part or setting of life. Being connected to them and alongside is vital. More specifically another home takes place on the courts. A substantial amount of my time involves some sort of athletics. Thats a reason why sports is another home in my life. Conflict: The biggest conflict in my life currently is myself holding me back from improving and being able to leap
“Don't fear failure...in great attempts it is glorious even to fail.” These great inspirational words were spoken by the even greater Martial Artist Bruce Lee. This quote alone captures what I—and most people—fear: failure. However, is my favorite quote because it captures and portrays failure in this light where success is based on the greatness that we choose to do and not just the way that it turns out and that we can still be successful even when failure is present. That even after we dedicate, practice and try that failing is still something great that we achieved because we gave it our all. It helps us to believe that if we try our best than no matter what the outcome is—in some way or another—we succeeded. This type of logic helps others
“I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion’.” – Muhammad Ali
"Adversity can strengthen you if you have the will to grind it out." - Ray Kroc
In life, we all have goals that we set for ourselves. We have to push ourselves to our limits and stride for greatness to achieve and accomplish these goals. This all started after I finished my freshman baseball season, I was instantly looking for a new way to improve my game and get ready for my sophomore season. So during the offseason I decided to start training at a local gym. Starting off with small, light dumbbells and not sure what I was really doing. I had felt uncomfortable and worried about what others had thought about me. It was like I was always under pressure. I was thinking about giving up and wanting to quit, but it's too easy just to give up. So I stuck with it and thought about the reasons I chose this. I chose this
The quote that spoke to me was by Muhammad Ali and it was "I hated every minute of training, but i said , "don't quit". suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champ". I think that in this quote he means that you may hate doing something but its always for the best and you just have to push through. I feel this quote apply to me because sometimes I have to do stuff I don't hate doing but its barruier bloking you from being the best you can but just got to diverge a go the right way. It also applys for everyone becaue if you want to be the best you have to make some sacrfices that could hurt but you just got to hoist yourself up. The right way may not always be the easy way that's why i relate to this quote because if you want to live your life the best you have to put in work you somties might not like.
“There may be people that have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.” This quote by Derek Jeter is something I always have, and will live by whether it be in sports or not. Over the many years of being an athlete I have come to realize that to be successful you must be willing to put everything you have into improving.
“Life's not about how hard of a hit you can give... it's about how many you can take, and still keep moving forward.” This is a sylvester stallone quote that resonates within me and one which i draw much inspiration from. Failure is inevitable, but allowing it to hold you back is a choice. I refuse to let failure hold me back. Last year i faced many challenges but i used them to change myself for the better. In my previous volleyball season, i had little to no experience or skill, basically i was bound to the bench.
I agree with this quote why because it has a lot of meaning behind it and it has a connection towards me. Why I agree with this is because a lot of people in the world learn from their mistakes and succeed to reach their goal. And that helps people because they will become happy and give advice to other people if they want to give up. One of my personal experiences are that one day I wanted to give up in this class because I got back my test and had an f on it and then I learned from my mistakes and I retake the test the next day and got a b so I learned from the previous days before. Another personal experience I have is that one day I wanted to run my best mile time and I couldn't beat it but i kept on practicing then I tried really hard
Next, I’m going to talk about my quote. The quote that I chose was hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard by Tim Notke. I chose the quote because it’s said around my baseball team. But, there are many more reasons why I chose this quote. I also chose it because I use it push me
Good things happen to those who try hard. Hard work will get you places. I am still training to become a strong person, but I know that I will become that person if I try my best. I will use my gift and make the most of it. keeping my goals in my head motivates me to try hard and overcome the challenges that face me. “You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice” by Bob
I love this quote because it shows that a good coach or mentor teaches someone by life experience.
“You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.” This quote is written by Margaret Thatcher. This quote inspires me because it relates to me in real life. I’ve tried so many times on many different things, but i’ve never gave up so I eventually won it or got it. For example Ar, Ar is very hard for me because I don’t like reading. Last year I got an F on my report card for Ar each quarter. It was hard, I thought to myself i would never pass Ar. This year i was determined to get an A in Ar. So I read as much as I can and took as much test as I can but the first quarter i failed again. So I tried even harder, so when the next quarter's grades came out i got an A. I kept trying and eventually I won. So that's why I chose this quote.
Ever heard of the phrase “The will to persevere is often the difference between failure and success,” by David Sarnoff? He explains the most valuable topic that athletes and the average person alike can understand. No matter what time, place, or century a person lives in, they have seen many things that have been done or created through perseverance. For example, segregation of skin color, battles that have been gained territory, or strides in the domination of sports. People who show determination in their lives will be able to excel in life better than a person who does not work at all. Perseverance arms us like a warrior at battle. It allows people to go through wars, stand up for what they believe in, and fight for what they want when nobody believes they can do it.
Success also takes part in this quote, if you are determined then you will succeed. in order to be successful you have to work for it. If you keep working for it you will succeed but you can never give up. some people only try once and if they don't succeed the first time they give up because they think They'll never win or get what they want, but they will if they keep trying and never give
Like any person, I have essential elements in my life. I cannot live without. These elements grew with me since I was born. And these elements become more and more important. I cannot imagine my life without five significant things. These five things are like the blood to my heart. If I lose one of them, I will feel broken. These five things are parents, money, food, twitter, and wife.
