Mystery of the Marree Man The Marree Man was shrouded in mystery and it was not until almost 10 years after its creation that the work was attributed to Bardius Golberg, based on the statements of his close friends, although he never claimed the work himself and who died several years after is creation. Interestingly, the mystery surrounding this image has generated much attention from conspiracy theorists and frequently appears on UFO websites like UFO Research Queensland, or UFOlogie, and it is the largest environmental artwork in Australia. The Worlds Largest Geoglyph The 4.2km-long figure of the Marree Man spans over 28km in circumference, and depicts an Aboriginal hunter, possibly from the Pitjantjatjara people, indigenous to the region.
Ever heard of the zodiac killer? He was a serial killer who operated in northern California in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The killer's identity remains unknown. The Zodiac murdered victims in 5 states between December 1968 and October 1969. The general profile for a serial killer is a person who commits a series of murders, often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern. There are many types of serial killers. There are natural born killers who are born willing to kill someone, insane killers which have mental and physical disorders and criminaloids who do not exhibit specific traits. The childhood of a serial killer would typically be someone who is neglected by their family mainly their mothers. They tend to be antisocial and have anger issues. Poor families often cannot provide what the child always wants so they might commit crimes to get want they want. Abused children have a higher chance of being killers also because they have a lot of built up aggression and anger. All can lead to substance abuse which is never a good thing to mix in with a potential serial killer in the making. General behavioral progression from pre-crime to post-crime are that they use killing as a source of relief. Before committing a serious crime they could have built up anger and hatred. They is a high possibility that they are suffering from depression and anxiety too. After killing someone the killer feels relieved. They also feel

Herbert William Mullin was born on April 18, 1947, in Salinas California (Newton, 2000). Dr. Lunde and Morgan describe Salinas as a farming community in Monterey County South of Santa Cruz (1980). Herbert is the younger of two children his sister Patricia being the elder, born to Jean and Martin William Mullin. Jean, a devout catholic, and Martin, a military veteran; raised their children in what some would say a “nurturing, stable but perhaps strict Roman Catholic household” (Vronsky, 2004 p. 149). He was a gentle natured child and very bright. He played little league baseball and was a Boy Scout (Lunde, Morgan, 1980). Herb attended parochial school so he was separated from neighboring peers that attended the local
Throughout history, many different cultures illustrate their history and their beliefs through various artistic objects that they create. These artifacts allow historians to better gage their lifestyle, their beliefs, and how their society operated. One example of this is the “Drum Beater” sculpting created by Karoo Ashevak that is especially famous for its illustrations of the shamans and the spirits. In this research paper, Karoo Ashevak’s “drum beater” will be dissected and analysed; from the Inuit culture itself, to the physical features of the sculpting, as well as the significance and symbolism of the sculpting as it relates to the Inuit culture.

The Grauballe man is a body unearthed from a peat bog in Denmark 1952. It was not one of the first as many had been found beforehand including the Tolland man and Elling woman but arguably none had been as well preserved as the Grauballe man. The man was estimated to be about 1.75 metres tall or 5 feet and 7 inches. He had surprisingly odd red hair when he was found due to the carbon in the peat staining the mans hair.

This paper describes the Sea Bear Transformation Mask, created by Don Svanvik in 2000, and how it reflects Northwest Coast Indian art and culture, specific to the Kwakiutl tribe. A transformation mask is a large mask with hinged shutters that, when open, reveal another mask. Audrey and Alan Bleviss gave this mask to the Montclair Art Museum in 2005. The medium consists of red cedar, cedar bark, copper, pigment, and string. In the Montclair Art Museum, the mask is displayed in its open form.

In my opinion, Dr. Shipman motive for his murders was to be in control of people's lives, especially the elderly. He gave his patient a sense of friendship(The Irish Time, 2017). According to the Biography of Harold Shipman, it states "he was fascinated by the positive effects of administration of morphine had on his mother during her suffering. In doing such, I believe in his thinking, he was helping his patients by relieving them of their pain. Dr. Shipman, also realize that his patients trust him and there was a close friendship outside of his doctor hour. For instance, Kathleen Grundy a wealthy 81-year-old widow, who Dr. Shipman made after hour doctor visit. was taken for grant. In his effort, he took her for grant and forge her name to
polished the Iceman’s method and showed him how to dispose of bodies more effectively”(Martin). He taught Richard to stab a man in the heart and let the blood drain from the body and how to dispose of the remaining body parts in multiple dumpsters around the city. As Richard began killing more people he also began trying new methods of murder, such as icepicks, chainsaws, plastic bags, strangulation, and even dropping people off buildings. He once shot a man in the head with a crossbow just to see what would happen. Not long after the death of DeMeo, Richard began his own crime ring.
Greg Mortenson was an adventurous man that had his life dramatically changed once his sister had passed away of an epileptic seizure while he was in college. His life was all but average as he spent most of his childhood growing up in East Africa, although being born in Minnesota. He grew up desensitized to other cultures, religions, and races which would be a major factor in his future plans. After his sister died, for her honor, he had decided to climb the K2 mountain located on the Pakistan-Chinese border. While he certainly made a good attempt, he was starving, cold, ill-prepared and inevitably failed to put his sisters necklace at the top of the treacherous mountain. After several times of losing and finding his guide, he was finally able to make it back to the bottom of the mountain where he ended up in the wrong village named Korphe. He originally leaves the village but quickly returns to the due to the fact they were friendly enough to allow him to sleep in their village, eat one of their rams and drink tea with them which is a sign of friendship/respect. He returns the favor by using some of his medical supplies to assist a woman giving birth in the village. He then ran across a couple boys attempting to learn how to write by using sticks and drawing in the sand. This had moved him and his goal of climbing K2 no longer mattered. Instead, he decided he would build a school in the village of Korphe in order to bring the children education and this, he thought
Take a glass beaker and using a pipette, mix a dash of Miss Marple's amateur sleuthing, a few drops of Nancy Drew's spunk and determination, a little pinch of Houdini and a whole lot of Friedrich Wöhler's talent for organic chemistry and you've got yourself a perfectly made solution in the form of an 11-year old girl called Flavia de Luce.
New York’s Central Park is the home of a mystery dating back to the late 1800s. A famous sculptor, or artist, named Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins started planning a museum showing dinosaurs in 1868. Sculptors are special kinds of artists that work with clay, metal, stone, or other materials to make 3-D models of things they see. Hawkins loved dinosaurs, so he sculpted, or modeled, figures that looked like scientists of the day believed dinosaurs looked like.
The subject matter exhibited in this representational work of art is four people that are gathered around rigid rocks. The two figures on the left are black, young-adult women, and a younger black boy on the right is looking up at a tall older white male in the center. Even though the use of silhouettes hides fine details, the women and the child portray exaggerated stereotypical racial features. The women are wearing head wraps, which are exclusive to women of African descent, the boy has Afro shaped hair, and all three have large protruding lips. Their clothes are worn down and ragged compared to the man’s attire. The white male’s features are less obvious, but the texture of his hair and lack of lip definition is apparent.
