The Monster within the Monster The Monster was not born ravaging into the evils of this impulsive realm. Victor Frankenstein laboriously created him as a gem of life in longevity. By Victor’s fault of neglect, evil prevailed. Where the fault lies is in the interpretation of the first moments of Dr. Frankenstein’s unsightly creation’s emerging into life. Dr. Frankenstein expected his creation to be beautiful, as he “had selected his features as beautiful” (Shelley 51). Though once he sees his creation emerge from the volts, “the beauty of the dream vanished and breathless horror and disgust filled [his] heart” (Shelly 51).
