Many only see the National Honor Society as an organization that will look excellent on college applications, and although that may be true, the National Honor Society is not an organization that can be taken so lightly. The National Honor Society is so much more than a scholarship-granting organization, the NHS is an organization that helps develop the requisite for render service and the development of leadership and character. The growth and success of the NHS relies on not only its members, but also those outside of the organization. Its members can only do so much on their own. Part of building character and leadership is to encourage and rely on others whom are capable of helping. The members of NHS shouldn’t let their pride and achievements
After the induction ceremony, I came before my mom, both of us smiling. Words were not necessary for me to know that my mom was proud of me. Being in National Honor Society was something that did not just made my parents proud, but it made me proud of myself. The honor of being in the club is not the only reason why the club is so valuable for me. It is the experience that I get form interacting and working with students from other grade levels that really inspires me. The club meetings and activities allow me to meet amazing individuals that I might have never had the opportunity to meet. National Honor Society is also a club that helps and encourages their club members to give back to the community. Some events that National Honor Society
Being chosen by my teachers and other leaders to be a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society is a great honor for me. It means that I have achieved my goal of demonstrating my determination and willingness to help people and serve the community. I believe that I am able to become a valuable member of the NHS because I am hard working, reliable and I possess all the qualities required by this prestigious organization, such as scholarship, leadership, character, and service abilities.
The National Honor Society (NHS) is a longstanding nationwide organization that provides students, such as myself, an opportunity to be recognized for their outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. The organization allows for students to excel outside of the classroom through many activities. It provides students, actively involved in the NHS, an opportunity to positively affect the lives of others through the various community service activities that are organized throughout the school year. The NHS will also function as an outlet to network with my fellow peers and teachers who are like-minded in the pursuit of success.
Throughout my high school career, I have come to be heavily involved in activities within my high school. I was inducted into National Honor Society in the school year of 2015-2016. I came to be involved in the Drama Club for all four years of my high school career, along with being in Student Council all four years as well. In Student Council, I held the position of treasurer my senior year, and was on the executive board. The music department also has been one of the biggest programs I have come to be involved in within my high school career. I have played alto saxophone in concert band all four years of high school, and played alto saxophone my senior year in jazz band. Along with being in both concert band and jazz band, I was also part
I feel I should be a part of the National Honor Society because I show a willingness to help others. I try to the best of my ability to be a leader, and I am creative as well as keep a positive attitude so others may as well. I wish to be a part of the National Honor Society so I can take these skills and help others who need my help in order for them to follow on the path to become great members of society.
I am extremely honored to be selected as an eligible candidate for National Honor Society (NHS), which is based on four pillars of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character. When I was 11 years old, I saw my older brother walk across the stage to receive his NHS award. Ever since then, my ultimately goal is to follow his step and accomplish all the requirement while being a great leader and a respectful character by providing useful service. I believe NHS has done terrific things in the society by hard work and dedication therefore, I hope to play a part in providing great service to society. I hope to confirm their belief in my qualifications by addressing NHS values of academic excellence, leadership, service, and character.
Thank you for my invitation to be a member of the Horseheads Chapter of the National Honor Society; I consider it a tremendous honor. It motivates me to continue to excel and succeed in my education and in life. I believe that I have exceptional character, as well as a satisfactory service history. I admit that my leadership qualities need work, but my exposure to others in the National Honor Society will help. I trust that I would be an excellent inductee to the National Honor Society, since I always strive to be the best person that I can be and commit 110 percent into all my obligations.
It is a great privilege to be considered as a member for the National Honor Society. This organization being based on grades, service, leadership, character, and scholarship is exciting to me personally because I work hard not only to achieve these principles, but to display them to others as well. I make it a point throughout my day to offer help, encouraging words, and a smile to the students that I am in contact with. I demonstrate leadership and class on the basketball court by working hard, along with exhibiting a positive attitude toward the referees, my coaches, my teammates, my opponents, and myself. This honor would mean the world to me because I strive daily to demonstrate each of the qualities that this society represents.
National Honor Society is a crucial part in a student’s life as it is an organization that demonstrates leadership through characteristics, behavior and great excellence. This organization encourages other students to work harder to become a member of NHS. It would be a great honor to be a NHS member during high school because I understand that it is a selective group. I am a student, who through service and leadership, have demonstrated that I am a well-organized, willing and a cheerful student with initiative.
I am very pleased to be a part of this process. Some of the information I put are what I did since freshman year and they might seem vague somehow. But there is so much more than what is on this paper. Desires, loves, compassion are what I felt during this times and moments. Participating in summer camps, contributing
The National Honor Society values members that are full with character, members that are leaders and provide for others. A member of a society really has to contribute their thoughts to the collective group in order to really function. I can visualize myself constantly participating by expressing my thoughts towards the group. Being in the National Honors Society is not going to be an easy task to accomplish, I know there is lots to be done in our community. Not one person in a society can hold all the responsibilities of managing.
The National Honor Society recognizes students who are outstanding in scholarship, service, leadership and character. As a hard working, and goal-oriented student, I feel that being accepted into the organization would benefit my character and leadership skills along with helping the community. It would not only be an honor to be selected to take apart of this organization, but also a privilege. I can only hope that I embody the characteristics of this organization. I always strive to lead in all I do and and always asking how can I better myself in school. The National Honor Society is one of the most aristocratic and dignified societies our school has to offer. It is known for acknowledging and recognizing hard working students with outstanding
From my perspective, I am involved with Crestwood High School, the community, and socially active as well. I participate in athletics such as Just for Kix and color guard. I will also be seen supporting the Cadets at every game possible! Not only athletics, but my high school experience has also revolved around the arts. I have participated in choir since junior high, and joined speech my freshman year. As a freshman, I earned a division one, which sent me to state for both individual and group speech. A rare occurrence for a newcomer. These varied activities allow me to know many different people, peers and staff. I believe that I deserve National Honors Society because of the way I balance grades, athletics, Silver Cord, and my job at Teluwut.
The National Honor Society is an organization created to unite students who value rendering service to the community, benefitting fully from education, and showing leadership to achieve goals. NHS helps one advance on an academic level, enhance qualities that benefit the community, and build a greater character by being involved in the community’s needs. Having an organization to unite students who share these values allows such to help each other to improve the community. There are plenty of hardships that a student has to go through while still having to remain well academically: the social pressure from peers to “fit in”, the struggle to remain mentally stable, be in extra-curricular activities, etc. Personally, these past few years have
Before the passing of my younger sister, I told her to never let her grades slip as she got older. The origin of those words derived from my parents, and although I never understood that statement back then, I fully realize the depth and meaning of what they told me. What they told me consists of three qualities: perseverance, determination, and excellence. After my freshman year, I realized that one of the major key qualities Los Osos High School consists of is excellence, and this has been proven multiple times for many years. For that to have happened, there have needed to be students in the past with excellent qualities such as character, leadership, scholarship, and service. The National Honor Society is indeed no exception. Deriving from
