It is important to know what ‘the theme in literature’ actually means, and why it is important, it tells us about the “big idea” through which the author is tries to convey the moral , his feelings and insights about that particular story. The theme is used to figure out the main idea of the literacy work, which can be mentioned directly or indirectly. Now the theme of this story is all about safe sex, there are few people who don’t understand that how dangerous it can be, if not taken seriously. On the pedestal, the words were engraved ‘my name is Ozymandias, king of kings; his main intention behind all this was that, he wanted people to remember him and his greatness. This statue is a story about a king which represents the definition of attitude, over confidence, arrogance and cruelty. This poem conveys that, pride, boastfulness and showing off, is of no use and does not last forever. It is indeed a very good example which explains what time can do to the ephemeral moments of a person who always tries to boast and glorify himself. The ballad of the landlord is a simple imaginary poem written by Langston hughes. In this poem the black tenant faces racial discrimination, the white landlord was rude and extremely mean with him. The landlord refused to fix, the tenant’s roof and the broken steps as well. And he was also planning to dislodge the tenant from that house. He got exploited by his landlord and he thought that the cops would help him out, but nothing as such, happened. Through this poem, the poet wanted to convey is that , there are people who face racial discrimination, but he/she should not give up, you should fight for your rights .
