Siddhartha Gautama or the Buddha was born as a prince to a family in India during the sixth century. At age 29 he began to notice the sufferings around him were everywhere and cannot be avoided to the eye. He decided to leave his privileged life and trade it into becoming a man living in full abandonment. He later discovered the path of avoiding the path of sufferings and how to save us. He soon discovered Buddhism and made constant discovers and encourage forming a group of followers to accompany him on this journey of discovery.

Buddhism has become and developed into a religion that strongly beliefs in spirituality or through spirits or “the way of life”. According to CNN Buddhism Fast Facts “He sat under a phase of self-denial until he sat under the Bo tree for 49 day” (CNN Wire). While sitting he soon discovered the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. Praying is a way for us to develop a sense of our being and essence. Chanting is a way where the people are communicating to the Buddha whether for luck or further forgiveness. Mediation is the process when our mind and body as one.

As a Buddhist one must practice achievement and reaching the stage of Nirvana. Nirvana is also defined as an individual's happy place for spiritual awakenings which forgiveness is heavily emphasized as well.
