The Merriam Webster dictionary defines depression as, “A mood disorder marked especially by sadness, inactivity, difficulty in thinking and concentration.” this is something everyone relates to especially teenagers. In the article, “Hearing That Things Can Change Helps Teens Dodge Depression” Maanvi Singh, a writer for NPR, describes how depression acts within a teenager. Yeager’s study on dodging depression shows that after some clarity by some elder students on how life does change, and gets better, teens were able to cope better with their depressing thoughts, and symptoms, even students who had been bullied, or were being bullied.
