Timothy Davis always dreamed of being a police officer. His dad was a police officer, and his uncle was the police chief. Timothy looked just like his father, dark brown smooth messy hair, beautiful blue eyes, and was skinny as can be. Timothy always thought that when he grows up, his dad would teach him all about being a police officer, but for now, he had to get through 3rd grade. “Timmy!”, his mom called, “Dinner’s ready!” Timothy yelled “Ok mom!”, and rushed off to the kitchen. Timothy had his room closest to the kitchen in his one story house. Technically, Timothy’s sister, Rose Mary, and him had the closest room to the kitchen, because they shared a room. Timothy’s little 3 year old sister had spaghetti sauce all over her face, when Timothy rushed into the room, Rose Mary …show more content…
A month later, Timothy was listening to the radio in the police station while doing his math homework. He heard mostly speeding tickets, but then something caught his ear. He heard, “This is
Officer Davis, and I see some suspicious gang activity near the East side of 55th street.” Timothy was dazed, his dad was about to do the coolest officer call Timothy had ever heard on the police radio. He heard his dad talking to the gang, “Hey, what are you doing?...” “...Are those illegal drugs?...” “...Hey get back here, don’t run away, or I will shoot!” Timothy was so excited about what his dad was doing, he completely forgot about his math homework. He heard Officer Davis call for backup as he chased the gang to 56th street and into a warehouse. Then, he heard Officer Davis shout, “Hey where did you guys go?” “I am a police officer, LISTEN TO ME!” All of a sudden Timothy heard a loud “BANG!” coming from the radio. Then he heard “Backup has arrived....” “...We are entering the warehouse....” “...Oh no!
Officer down, I repeat officer down!...” “...Officer Davis has been shot and is not

He really enjoyed seeing how his work affected students’ lives for the better. His least favorite part of this job was dealing with the parents because a lot of parents would not believe that their child had done anything wrong, so they would not help turn their child away from dangerous activities. This perspective is interesting because it shows that parents do not always know what their child is doing and may be too stubborn to address an issue that concerns police.

In the year of 2012 on November 29th was the induction ceremony for the new Philadelphia Police Explorer cadets. I had surpassed the physical and mental tests and even aced my interview with director of the program Corporal Coyle. From there on I started and completed the most challenging experience of my life. The Philadelphia Police Explorers program is set up to teach police training to adolescents ages 14 through 21. The great thing about this program is if you choose to continue it until you turn 21, you will receive a certificate excusing the college credits you need to apply for the Police Academy. The Philadelphia Police Explorers program makes it their priority to properly train cadets, and prepare them to enter the police academy
The phone rings, and my father quickly answers, seeing that it’s my half-brother Shawn. I immediately know something’s wrong when my father’s normally neutral face becomes increasingly red and anger ridden. “Don’t go to the police, I’ll kill the black son of a bitch if I have to!” He yells out.
His father was always beating him up, and his mother ignored him…” This shows that the gang was there for him because his parents weren’t, that they were his family for him, that they cared about him and that they were always there for him. “Somehow the gang sensed what happened.” “Nobody was ever going to beat him like that again. Not over his dead body.”
While her siblings were the fiery ones. Everything about them was bolder than she was. Her sister and brother both had dark brown locks and eyes made of chocolate. They looked regal, they looked like her father. She, on the other hand, had long, honey colored locks. Her eyes were dark blue, but they always looked lighter when she cried. Her skin was milky white and her stature was shorter than that of her siblings. She always had a slight pinkness to her cheeks, which is why her mother named her

He had just done a line when he thought he heard something, a noise just outside his office door, somewhere in the main stage area. Bert waited a moment listening intently. Is it the cops? he thought. Are they back here again? Shit, I better stash this coke before I have more
As part of the career exploration assignment I decided to interview a local officer who has made a positive impact on Nelson County as well as performs his job with the upmost care in order to keep our community safe. Officer Adrian (A.J.) Lewis is a sheriff patrol deputy for the Nelson County Sheriff Department located in Bardstown, Kentucky. When interviewing Lewis, I learned that he developed his passion for law enforcement from his father, Major Ray Lewis, who recently retired from the Bardstown Police Department. However, it wasn’t until July 11, 2011 did Officer Lewis began his journey in law enforcement as a patrol officer at the Springfield Police department. In this time as a entry man patrol officer, he explained how he learned many ways the criminal

Mr. Miller smiled. Ben didn't look a whole lot like his dad, but he had inherited his curiosity, his curls, and his shy smile. Jim was blonde (well, more grey now, but certainly light) and so white he looked like he could have stepped off of the Mayflower this morning. Ben's mom, whose parents had immigrated from Japan just before she was born, teased him incessantly for it.
My dad heard all of the ruckus so he came in and asked, “What’s going on? What’s all that outside?”
