We are all interconnected
Yehuda Berg said once:’’ Every little action creates an effect: We are all interconnected.’’ The ecological thought by Timothy Morton shows that everything on earth is interconnected. Every choose that you make will have an impact on something else. An example of this book that can apply to everyday life is soccer.
Timothy Morton was born 19 June 1968. He is a Professor and Chair of English at Rice University. Morton is an explorer and also a member of object-oriented thought and ecological studies. If the wind is too high, the ball will have more curve if not, the will go to the place you throw it. We can master those skills by feeling the wind. If you don’t feel it, you won’t know where does the ball go. At the time the ball is in the air, you cannot control it anymore. It will follow the wind and also the force of gravity. That’s why you need to have the vision and sensation when you shoot a ball. There is no lucky shot if you become a master of the wind. The most spectacular thing in soccer is to see a player curving a soccer ball into the net. Many fans will choose Roberto Carlos and Cristiano Ronaldo as the best free kick specialist because of his incredible techniques in dipping and bend the ball. Soccer players make it possible do this by applying physics skills. The ball is a projectile that is flying through the air with an initial velocity. The reason the ball curves are because the kicker kicks that ball at a specified angle and speed. At the time the ball is in the air, it is the air that is bending the ball. Pro-soccer players will usually kick the ball and add a little spin on it to neglect as much air resistance as possible. But in a free kick, which is 18 to 30 meters away from the goal, players would want air resistance because the air will curve and bend the ball in a way to trick the goalkeeper. It might sound easy, but it is pretty tough. Players must hit the soccer ball with a …show more content…

Cristiano Ronaldo states that before you shoot the ball, always look for flat space, because you will feel more comfortable when you apply power to the ball. If the field is not flat, your foot will have more chance to hit the ground instead the ball. The ball will keep bouncing, and you will have a high percentage of missing it. Vision is one of the most skill that makes you score. We need it for a good pass, to score, to defend, and to be in the right position. To get a great vision, we have to be a focus on what you are doing, and also to be ready to take risks. For example, if the ball is the air, you should picture where the ball will fall on the ground. Follow the ball, feel the wind, get a great view of your opponent, and space. Not following one of those, you will get injured and missed an opportunity to score. Speed also help a lot, the ball won’t wait for you, in that case, you have to go at the same speed as the ball goes. The air and water can also affect your performance. Don’t have energy equal to no endurance, and no endurance is similar to stay on the bench. Controlling the breath and the energy is not something that is easy to do. We need to practice respiratory system and running exercise, that allow us to conserve energy by not wasting them.
I think that soccer shares a link with the ecological thought by Timothy Morton. In the book, Timothy states that human and the environment are interconnected.
