Training Camp When it comes to fitness, clients believe they will see instant results. A certain percent of individuals are impatient and expect to see changes within a week of exercises. Whereas the other percent will understand it takes more than a few sets of sit ups and planks to achieve their ultimate goal. Over the course of the summer, I was able to see the different workout personalities at D1 Jackson’s “Boot Camp” sessions. Also, clients need to understand being able to establish a great workout routine will take more than physical strength; it is more so about mental mindset, dedication, and perseverance. For instance, I did not know how they might take to me, since the preparatory group are closer to my age and might see myself as a peer rather than their instructor. Because I understand it is hard for individuals aged 17 to 19 to see a 22 year old as an authority figure. So I was told by the other coaches to remain calm, but also be assertive in order for them to respect me and not try to get their every way. The first day of instructing a class I started with the developmental group (12-15yrs). I started off by getting everyone’s name and introducing myself, just so each of them could get a feel for me and vice versa. Next, I had them jog 3 laps around the indoor turf and afterwards they had to do warm up drills. The warm up drills consisted of: butt kicks, B-skip, knee to chest, and lunges with a twist. After five minutes of warm-ups, I instructed them to line up on the goal line and participate in jumping jacks (20sec), crunches (3x10), fire hydrants (2x15each). The reasoning for the pre-workout is to get the individulas blood flowing and starting a good breathing routine. It should be fully understood why an athlete or someone trying to live a healthier life should give it one hundred and ten percent because at the end of the day it will make them feel like a new person. Also, a person should understand they need to be willing to do whatever it takes to reach their own success story. That is why I grew to love the D1 organization. D1 is trying to create a path to help people see they can do whatever they thought was impossible. I am glad I was given the opportunity to become a part of it. It was a learning experience altogether because I was able to see every coaching technique and listen to every coach’s advice. What is athletic training? Athletic training is the concern of the well being of the athlete and generally assumes the responsibility for overseeing the total health care for the athlete. This basically states that an athletic trainer's job is to be there for the athlete whether he/she is injured or not, and to practice the prevention of injury. By learning the proper techniques and steps to stretching, an athletic trainer can pass that information onto the athlete to help prevent common problems such as cramping. Another way of looking at an athletic trainer is that they must be prepared and capable of dealing with any type of trauma or catastrophic injury that may occur. Athletic trainers are nearly everywhere. Most high schools, colleges, semi pro teams, Olympic teams, professional teams and basically any other organized athletic association has them. But unbelievably this is the type of exchange that happens a lot when engaging in conversation. Although Athletic Trainers are on TV all the time, we are usually referred to as "trainers" by the talent at ESPN or local news organizations.
Athletic Trainers are certified healthcare professionals who work mainly in the specialty of sport medicine. These professionals collaborate with physicians to treat athletes with preventative care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic exercises and emergency care. They are expected to recognize injuries and provide first aide. Athletic trainers also develop and carry exercise action plans for athletes who are injured and for injury prevention. These action plans may include therapeutic programs and performance testing.

The college class include science and health-related subjects, such as nutrition, kinesiology, biomechanics, and exercise physiology. Experience requirements include time in a clinic, internships, and those may be with a college or with a local professional sports team.
In order to become an athletic trainer, a person must be able to fulfill all of the educational and training requirements from high school, university/college, and certified training. While in high school, students need to be able to focus on communication skills in order to speak with clients as well as science courses that they will apply to their future career. Attending Troop N Camp Cadet was truly an experience that I cannot say enough great things about. The camp truly pushed me to my mental and physical limits, and because of that, graduation day was a day I will never forget. As I think back on this experience, many people stand out to me. One of the main groups of people was of course the advisors, which were helped by the junior counselors. I believe that I, being given the opportunity to be a junior counselor, would be provided with a positive experience for many reasons.
The use of institutional boot camps are on the decline. There is no evidence to support that it is effective on recidivism. Although it's purpose is to develop self discipline, respect for authority, responsibility and a sense of accomplishment many are being rearrested within a year of being released. (Schmalleger & Gmykla, 2015). The cause for this is because the boot camp is based off of military styles and concepts. However, the military is for the most part a choice and not a condition or punishment for wrong doi to creating ngs. The military's tactics are conducive to producing fighting units and people that are combat ready. They are trained to become one and fight an enemy regardless of the life or death implications. I designed my client’s exercises around their goals. For instance, Olivia wanted to have stronger abs, so I focused a majority of her training days on core strength. Another factor in designing my workouts was communicating with my client’s other trainer, so I did not repeat the same types of exercises. Furthermore, the progression was increasing the difficulty for my clients in terms of their respective exercises, as well as increasing the weights on the second or third repetition of the workout. For example, I had Dana jog on the treadmill at 6.0 mph for 2 minutes on May 17, but she was jogging at 6.5 mph for 3 minutes by May 23.
First, it is exposed that the media's hyper-focus on body image has made exercise a chore and not a delight. The media posts scads of fad diets and workouts that, "Get rid of that muffin top". These workouts are demonstrated by already-slim-professionals who portray an unrealistic picture of what the applicant should look like when the program ends. Often, adolescents fail to finish these programs, when they do not see the desired results. Adolescents are subconsciously taught that what they do is not enough when the product of their hard work is not what had been advertised. This shows that the media makes exercise into a chore when they advertise with unrealistic standards for the youth of today to live up to.

Bear in mind that time and energy is essential together with your muscle goals in mind to work towards the attainment of your specific purpose or goals. Your enthusiasm for workout depends on 2 important factors: the selection of exercises and speed of the workout. As a result your body building level progresses and motivation to go for a more complex and challenging exercises.
