Transcripts In high school, maintaining good grades was a struggle to me because I do not comprehend information as easily as others. My GPA could have been higher than a 3.5 if I had asked for help when I needed it. I took AP classes hoping to pass the AP exams and not have to take the class in college. I also took Health Occupations to ensure that being a nurse is really what I want to do. Being in student leadership all 4 years also helped me come out of my shell and learn how to work and communicate with other people.
Attendance In high school, I made sure to never miss a single period unless I absolutely have to. I only missed school due to illness or doctor's appointments. All of my absences are excused by either my
However, junior year of high school changed that: I was given the opportunity to take either AP Psychology, or AP European History. I felt that the obvious choice would be to take AP European History, since I’m European and therefore already had a solid foundation for succeeding in the class, but something inside me told me to take a blind leap of faith and choose AP Psychology instead. This choice proved to be one of the greatest decisions I have made in my life. Through this class, I emerged myself into the world of psychology and fell in love with it. I didn’t complete the assignments to get a good grade. I completed them because I cherished every minute of it, and I started applying the materials learned in class to real life
When I started middle and high school, making good grades was my new goal. I was introduced to pre-advanced classes and failed miserably my first year. I also joined the track and cross country team at the time. Once
As a young boy, I never truly put much into school. I put as little thought about college as well, but it took one moment that made me want the desire to succeed in my life and make something of it. Working for 12 straight hours in the middle of the hot sun, making minimum wage wasn't how I wanted to live. Going to multiple jobs and having to work all weekend, even during school occasionally was extremely difficult. This just gave me that extra drive to be more superior than anyone else. Yet, I never gave up and still pushed to be the best student I could be. Staying up late nights just to finish homework so I was able to make the best grade in class. The simplest moments in life made we want to be the best
I asked my teachers when I needed to and read more books. Books helped me in learning new words and improved my spelling. Being placed in an English support class for testing low on the MAP test made me realize that I needed to try harder. I received one of the highest scores the following year and moved up to Accelerated English. This achievement made me realize I had determination; I worked very hard to obtain high grades. Advanced courses increased my confidence because I knew they could prepare me more for college. My goal was to be educated so I could be even more
When I was growing up, my parents expected me to do great in school and they taught me that getting a good education was your ticket to living a nice and successful life and career, and in order to do well in school I would have to study and get good grades. I actually enjoyed school for the most part. I was that kind of person that actually studied and did homework to the best of my ability. Getting a good education is very important to get a successful career and life.
Throughout my life, I have worked hard to do well in school and get good grades. I am proud with what I have achieved, but I am still driven to try and do better. As of right now, I have a cumulative GPA of 3.98. I try to get decent grades not only to please my parents and teachers but to please myself and the colleges I plan on applying to next school year.
In 8th grade, instead of baking cookies or cake in cooking class or drawing pictures in art, I took German 1 to put myself in the position to be placed in AP German my senior year. My freshman and sophomore years of high school I took Photography to work towards taking AP 2D Studio Art along with other AP/accelerated sciences, maths, and english classes. Certainly, there are other students that took just as difficult of courses that I did, but I pushed myself to excel in other courses that others may not have taken.
Throughout each school year I try to push myself to learn more in every class. I have managed to be in the top 10% of my graduating class due to my hard work in school. My GPA, 98.34% at the end of quarter two, is something that I have maintained because of my eagerness to learn and better myself. I find it fun to learn new things, and to try new things. This year I have tried my best to push myself, taking two Advanced Placement courses and two other weighted classes.
My high school career taught me very important lessons in how to succeed in my academics and as a student. I have always been that type of student that
I am very proud of the grades that I earned during my high school career. Getting good grades has always been fairly easy for me. I enjoy learning new things, and for the most part some of the material comes naturally to me. There have been times that I have slacked off and fell behind a little bit in my classes, but not to the point where I am endangered of failing. I have always had a 3.4 and above the last few years, but freshman year it was a little below a 3.0 but not by much. I have learned valuable things from every class that I have been enrolled in and will carry those things with me to the next phase of my education in college.
I felt it was very important to be fully involved in my academics and activities in high school. My freshman year I took part in Show Choir, Football Cheer, Basketball Cheer, and finally Softball. My class schedule consisted of accelerated classes like Geometry because I took Algebra I in middle school. I decided to stay a part of only Show Choir and Football Cheer during my sophomore year, while still being challenged in my classes. By my junior year, I was in Football Cheer, HOSA, and Key Club. I took classes such as AP English and Pre-Calculus in order to keep myself challenged. My junior year was when I started taking part in community service at the local middle school
Starting at a young age, I was enrolled in honors classes in elementary school and continued to high school because I had parents that wanted the best for me, I was naturally talented with absorbing knowledge, and I was dedicated to school.
For me, school is more than just grades, and while undoubtedly it is a large component, I want to soak up all the knowledge I can. Being in college it is a time to start understanding and putting into practice what you learn. My goal is that by enjoying the learning process my grades will follow, and so far they have. With my college degree I plan on pursuing a career in psychology, and ultimately want to get my Ph.D. in forensic psychology. To be honest it took me a while to find my career path. I waited nine years after graduating high school to continue my education and psychology had always stuck in the back of my mind during that time. I also realized subjects such as law and criminology piqued my interest. When I first started at community
Something that has really affected my education is, my depression. I struggled with being suicidal most of my Freshman and Sophomore years of high school and unfortunately, my grades reflect it. I have been slowly improving, but it is an uphill battle. It truly has strengthened me and it has greatly expanded the amount of empathy I have for people that are struggling. Being the first to be on the path to have a college education has also been a struggle. I have had to recognize, recently, that I cannot ask my mother to help me with anything school related because she doesn't understand it, as much as she tries to.
grades and my future and that is why my grades starting increasing Junior and Senior year. Once I started caring about school, my grades, and my career, I was able to focus In class and do my work to be successful. That is why my transcript and GPA does not accurately represent
