In the year of 2015, more than 102 unarmed African American people were slaughtered by police officers, making it nearly twice every week. Trayvon Martin was the first people to influence the Black Lives Matter Movement creating a guide to end police brutality regarding African Americans. Although some people believe the Black Lives Matter Movement was successful because of their huge exposure, it was not successful because many unarmed African Americans who were murdered did not receive justice, prejudice people towards Blacks are still stereotyping, and there is still police brutality. Activist who is associated with the Black Lives Matter Movement created the page, Campaign Zero on August 21, 2015 to bring awareness of the policy change proposed by critics who desire change. In order to conduct solutions, the owners of the website created 10 policy solutions influenced by the people and activists of the movement, such as, ending Broken Windows Policing, Limit Use of Force, Body cams/Film the Police, et cetera. The Broken Windows Policy is the exercise used by police to criminalize minor activities such as the possession of Marijuana, consuming alcohol public places, disruption of the peace, Disorderly Conduct, Spitting, Trespassing, Loitering, Jaywalking, and Bicycling on the Sidewalk. According to the Broken Windows Policy’s article, 287 people involved in those specific activities or looked “suspicious” were killed and argue that the people involved in these activities are homeless, contain a sort of mental illness and should, “treated by healthcare professionals and social workers rather than the police”. These examples are utilized by the police causing them to dismiss more lethal undertakings so by eliminating the insignificant “crimes”, restraints the police to dispute minor issues to public safety. An addition to solving the goal of Black Lives Matter Movement is limiting the use of force. Reported in 2014, 253 unarmed civilians were deprived of their life from police using excessive force for inconsequential incidents, for example, traffic violations, contend verbally to a police officer, trying to slip away from police, and so on. The solutions are to not let the police use lethal weapons when there’s no immediate threat to their life, have an officers give clear verbal warning to their actions before using lethal force, but most importantly not using
