1. For my television commercial I used the popular Sham wow infomercial. According to the site the Sham Wow is “a washcloth, which will dry, and polish any surface. They are like a towel, chamois, and sponge all in one--except they're extremely absorbent and can be used over and over.” However, a segment on ABC’s Good Morning America gives Sham Wow a “C” and says it’s a normal towel so why have so many Americans fallen for the gimmick?

Many families encounter the worst of sports related injuries, such as being paralyzed or even death upon playing. The NCHSAA should be more cautious upon high school athletics and make it a safer environment towards all contenders within the divisions. It is not the NCHSAA fault upon injuries, but they can make the biggest improvement upon sports to try and prevent many risky injuries. Kids will go through the pain of an injury, not to only sit and get ready to play again, but to learn an important lesson.

Because of this funding, more women are being recognized as victims and have equal access to help regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and immigration status. Hence, in addition to saving lives, VAWA 2013, saves money by reducing or even preventing future violence as well as related social costs.

We will be helping with the Thursday Night meal at the Highland Center on the 5th Thursday of each month for the rest of the year. The next 5th Thursday is July 30th. Stephanie Slack will be heading up our group as Ronney Joe will be out of town.

We already know that there has been a precipitous decline in the study of liberal arts because many people do not value it anymore. English and history are now being pushed aside for math or science. Fareed Zakaria, an American journalist and author, in his article, “What's the Use of a Liberal Education?” writes, “Even President Obama recently urged students to keep in mind that a technical training could be more valuable than a degree in art history. Majors like English, once very popular and highly respected, are in steep decline.” This mindset is causing many people to turn away from liberal arts-based subjects, so they can pursue something that would “be more valuable”.

I do not believe anyone was expecting the SCOTUS to take up the decision to hear the DAPA and DACA Expansion Executive Order to occur so fast. This is going to have political consequences in my opinion.

BRUNSWICK, OH- The ball glides down the alley striking the top pin causing them all to ripple down. Brunswick’s bowling team's season is coming to an end and for the seniors their jersey’s put to retirement. Some seniors will continue to play in college but for most their final game is almost here.

There are many high schools that elementary eighth-grade students apply to, and hope that they get accepted to one of the high schools that they applied to. However, I have chosen Taft as my high school. Taft high school is “located in the Norwood Park neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago, Illinois” (en.wikipedia.org) , I have been a student at Taft high school for three years (I’m a Junior) but I still have one year to go before I graduate from Taft high school. Furthermore, in the Taft high school website it states that “Taft High School is an authorized IB World School. International Baccalaureate World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improving the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering a challenging and high-quality program of international education” (www.tafths.org). The current tax system in California is not sufficient in its efforts to provide adequate income to California because it does not collect enough taxes to sufficiently fund state programs, while the CTA’s proposed system of tax fairness would generate ample income to fund numerous state programs. The CTA acknowledges that the current system of taxing individuals is not fair by stating that, “the bottom 20% of wage earners in California pay 11% of their income in taxes, while the top 1% of wage earners only pays 7.8%.” (“Tax Fairness”). The tax system does not equally collect taxes from all income levels, which results in deficit income for the state. This deficit income results in the formation of debt because the state does not have enough money to fund public works. The graph above depicts how without making efforts to close corporate loopholes and other tax breaks, California will never be able to generate enough money to eliminate the deficit and adequately fund public works such as education. The CTA believes that the only way to adequately fund the education system and other public works is by withdrawing the tax breaks offered to high-income individuals and large corporations. The owed revenue collected from these sources could significantly increase the funding of LCFF plan and prevent the occurrence any debt. From the Big Apple to the Windy City Lakeland High School FBLA traveled the 815 miles to attend the National Leadership Conference in Chicago Illinois. The National Leadership Conference is the biggest and most anticipated conference of the year and is also where members of FBLA have the opportunity to see who is the best of the best by competing in competitions that they qualified for at the State Leadership Conference. This year Lakeland High School FBLA had seven competitors competing in Future Business Leader, Parliamentary Procedure Team, Job Interview, Banking and Financial System and Help Desk. A major source of revenue enhancements for states across the US is the sales tax, which taxes goods and services that are being sold. One member of the family of sales taxes is the Value-added Tax. The VAT increases the value of the product being produced by taxing each stage of its production or distribution (Anastakis, N.D.). The topic of this paper is gasoline prices and higher state sales tax.
