Julius Caesar You probably know what Caesar Salad is, but do you know who Julius Caesar is? Julius Caesar was very much a hero to Rome because he influenced Rome out in many different ways. He helped Rome with debt, calender, and the empire. First of all, Julius made Rome's debt lower tremendously. Rome had lots of debt, especially after the Civil War, or when soldiers asked for payment and the real estate values collapsed. The result of that was the shortage of coinage and loss of circulation due to the fact that people kept what they had. He reinstated that no one could hold more than 60,000 sesterces. Initially, Julius Caesar was a hero because he created jobs by building roads, temples, and aqueducts. John Herman writes, “Caesar created jobs by building roads, temples, and aqueducts.” By building these roads, the city of Rome moved supplies easier and faster. By building temples the city of Rome prayed and worshiped their gods in peace. By building aqueducts the city of Rome had a bigger water supply and clean water.
Julius Caesar was a man the people of Rome loved. He brought Rome prosperity, happiness, and power by ruling Rome in a way that had never been done before. He put the corrupt senators of Rome in a position where they could no longer pull Rome down to benefit themselves, and he made sure that he ruled Rome fairly and correctly, and for this, Rome loved Caesar. Julius The Hero Caesar helped a lot of people in many different ways. My three ways that he was a hero are, he reformed the Roman republic, made a great military, and gained land for the poor. Caesar was a hero to me. As you can read my first reason was he reformed the Roman republic.

Many people knew Julius Caesar as powerful and popular Roman general and statesman. Julius was born in Rome the year of 100BC, and later died in 44BC. Growing up Julius had a well-rounded family. His father, Gaius Caesar, governed the region of Asia, and his mother, Aurelia Cotta, was the noble birth. At the age of seventeen, Julius married Cornelia, the daughter of an influential politician in Rome. Then just at 31, Julius had fought in wars and become involved in Roman politics. Although some people might view Julius Caesar as a villain, he was considered to be a hero in the Roman world. Julius Caesar is a hero because he improved the Roman Republic, changed the local governments, and protected the reconstruction of the city-states.

Julius Caesar is the tragic hero because of his noble stature. The noble stature of Caesar is made evident through his position in society and his outstanding qualities. Caesars position in Rome was that of a dictator. At the start of the play Brutus enlightens the reader that “.... the people/ choose Caesar for their king” (1.ii.77-78). When Brutus says “king” he is actually informing the audience the Caesar has been made dictator of Rome for life. At this time in Rome, the Roman society took pride in being republic. Therefore, electing Caesar as a dictator was a monumental event. A dictator was the most powerful position in Roman society. Indeed as a stated in Encyclopedia Britannica a dictator was a “a temporary magistrate with extraordinary powers” (dictator). Julius Caesar was a hero because he changed the way Rome was ruled and he helped the people. “Never before had Rome been governed so well, or so efficiently. For the average Roman, Caesar’s rule was a blessing”. The middle class loved Caesar he made sure nobody was left hungry and Rome was under control. “Sanitation, sewage, and food all were seemingly under the control of Caesar”. Julius Caesar was a selfless ruler making him a hero.
Was Julius Caesar a hero or a villain? Many people think Julius Caesar was a hero because of all the great things he did to Rome like that he made the senate larger, which gave more representation to the people, reformed the Roman Republic, which directly led to the Roman Empire, and was a great general. Some people may think he is a villain, but I know he is a hero. First and foremost, the people didn’t have any say in things that the government did, but Julius Caesar transformed the senate so that they represented the people. The senate now has 300 senators and they were elected for life.
Even though his death happened more than 2,000 years ago, most people still know the name Julius Caesar. Most people also know he built and ruled the mighty Roman Empire. He is even often remembered to have one of the greatest military minds in history, but he is most famous for his tragic death caused by his Senate. During his rule, he was able to make several advances for the betterment of the empire. To some, he ruled Rome very well, but to others all he was doing was hurting Rome.
Julius Caesar was a hero and here is some evidence of why he is. He led the Roman army for 9 years very well. He was a hero because one he gave a lot of money to the poor, and lowered taxes. Julius lowering taxes made the people of Rome love him. The reason why the people of Rome loved Julius Caesar so much is because they had to pay less for taxes thanks to him.
“Man of the Year” Julius Caesar was a great leader of Rome. He contained good writing skills and was a person who would share his own achievements with other people. He was a military leader who conquered Gaul and pieces of Switzerland. Julius fought many battles to make the countries stronger and have the people live in a better environment. Caesar had armies of people that would back him up and would do anything to keep their royal leader happy and strong.
Is Julius Caesar a hero or a villain? I think he is a hero. He has done great things in his time. He was a great military leader. These are the reasons that he is a hero.
