I would like to bring this to your concern the lack of space in the weight room. This school has such a good group of athletics and all were missing is a bigger weight room. During the off season for football, the weight room is filled. For other sports to also be in there is a huge crowd. The power lifting team has won state and nationals the past several years. They deserve a space for them to not feel cramped while working out. For people who do not participate in sports, but use the weight room have to wait until other sports are finished, everyone should be able to use this room at the same time. A bigger weight room would allow more teams to workout at once. This would help our sports grow bigger and become better. I hope you take
remove the vending machines , because schools don't have enough money to pay for the sports program and mean while schools try to be healthy they don't do anything because students still buy goods from gas stations .
the JJ sports bar should not be removed for the same reasons. Then also it should be kept because it's a great place for recreation, a place to meet people and just somewhere to have fun overall
There are plenty of club sports around where we live. Here there are an abundance of students that have to travel one to two hours to Pueblo just to go to volleyball practice. If we were to bring club sports here students would be able to able to play sports that would only be available to us if we traveled. It could help out the parents by not making them drive us three hours to and from sports practices. Then adding more time on the road to go to games. Also if we spend so much time at practices in other cities then we are more likely to get home to late. Therefore we might get home at mid-night making us lose sleep because we have to do our homework. As a result are grades start to fall. So if we were to bring club sports to Rocky Ford it could help us students in plenty of ways.
Last September, the Southwest Student Government Association started a petition for a new student recreation center, which called for “multi-purpose areas which can be used for the benefit of all students, including a full weight room, group exercise rooms, student lounges, basketball courts, and a food center.”
Dean Clark Carter, I am a junior student here at Charleston Southern University. I write in regards to an issue I have noticed on campus and would like to bring to your attention; should student athletes receive special academic treatment? I believe that CSU should hold a student forum about this issue so that all students gain knowledge about the topic, can share and debate opinions, and create possible solutions.
First of all, schools can put money toward upgrading the equipment if pay-to-play is put into place as a policy. According to, West Shore School District Debates Study On Pay-To-Play Policy, “ The booster club already spends $300 to $350 for each athlete in the football program, ‘he said.’ the school has spent $25,000 to upgrade the weight room,
My plan to support my argument, on why the money should be used towards athletics is the money will be used to create another building on campus which will be considered an Athlete only, Academic building. The building will
The staff is making do with the current building. However, room for equipment storage is extremely limited. The facilities for the employees are also lacking in both size and amenities. The building provides less than 5,000 sq. ft. for operations. This is approximately 1/3 the size of the buildings that are more commonly seen on an 18 hole golf facilities today. I strongly recommend contacting Mr. Roger Malloy at Golf Structures Alternatives roger@golfstructures.com to evaluate the current building and to determine how it can be improved to provide additional space and to modernize the facility. Ideally, a cold storage building would be added to provide additional equipment storage. This would then free up room to improve the building for daily operations and for the staff. The other option might be to add an addition to part of the building that would be used by the staff for a break room and restroom facilities. Again, work with the consultant to review the existing building and hopefully develop some options to improve conditions going
Napavine is already good at sports. A lot of the skills our students display are mainly from technique. How much better would our sports teams be if people actually lifted? I would bet anything that if our weight room was better looking and better quality more people would lift.
By support, I do not necessarily mean money. All though money would be nice because rugby runs all their own fundraisers and gets no financial support from the school. Currently the rugby teams compete with the lacrosse teams for a field to practice on. Even when the rugby teams are allowed to practice, the field is double or triple booked, meaning they have a small half or quarter of the field to practice on. In fact, most nights the football field is completely unoccupied. If the rugby teams and lacrosse teams could use the football field or other empty fields, there would be less frustration about practice time. Clubs aren't even allowed to use the empty weight rooms on campus. This forces the club teams to try and use the
After much discussion, the committee agreed that the multi-function room would need floor space for 50 to 75 people for meetings, special events, card & mah jong playing, etc. The fitness classes would need space for 35 people.
I do not like this idea about cutting sports from the school program. Our school has a big deal about sports. We live it to be honest, most of the kids are in football, baseball, and basketball. One big reason is cheerleaders will be cut out also, because they have nothing to cheer for. Another reason is our school will not be able to get sport scholarships for playing these sports because, we don’t have them at all to get the scholarships. The last reason is the school will be very less outgoing because there’s nothing to be hyped up about. That’s why I disagree with cutting these sports off.
Replacing the courts come with a high cost at first and that is the main problem, but again the benefit will be superior to what the costs end up to be. To break this problem and get the University to accept our alternative court, I am proposing having a local basketball tournament once a year in the KFC. It will bring in an estimated $3,000 a year and that will eventually bring back money to the student fund. The challenges ahead are visible, but the outcome will be a great change for everyone associated with
I am writing to request permission to utilize the Jefferson County Middle School Gymnasium to conduct my Personal training Fitness Bootcamp which will begin on May 29, 2017. The Purpose of the Fitness Bootcamp is to help men and women to improve their physical health, lower the risk of developing certain health problems, and to promote healthy lifestyle habits. The camp will last approximately one hour and consist of approximately 40 men and women. The camp will be a total of 21 days. The first 50% of the time will be spent outside of the facility and the remaining 50% inside. Because I have bean a part of the district for over 18 years and it’s a requirement that there should be a Health Fitness programs for State employees, I am requesting
In the weight room it's very affected to work all areas of your body, in our weight room we have a variety of machines to help us accomplish that. We have machines that vary from working our upper body to our lower body's, strength training is very helpful and effective in over coming deficiencies. Progression, without progression you are t really improving. You always want to push yourself, for example if you can successfully accomplish ten reps on a machine. You should push yourself to do eleven. Or if you can complete more than what's asked you should try moving up in weight and starting back from the starting rep. There is also progression in a single standing. By doing reps in 5-5-5 or 10-8-6.
