My postion on wether dogs should be allowed in the workplace is that i disagree.I disagree because i think it is not healthy for the work inviroment. Some people are not comfortable around dogs and others have allergies. Some dogs also have behavior problems as well.So here are some more reason why i do not agree with a dog being in the work place. First of all some people are not comfortable around them.Wether that has to do with past relations of a dog or simply have a phobie of being around a dog.Sheding for a dog can be messy. In a working inviroment that would cause sanitation problems. Also dogs could easily in a work inviroment can chew on things that are not meant to be chewed on causing health risk for the dog and the staff.
Second reason
Employees bringing their pet dog to work is a very controversial topic. An abundance of people support this idea, because they feel they would be more productive, happier, more relaxed, and less stressed. However, many people feel like bringing dogs into the workplaces only causes problem such as, allergies, behavioral episodes, and any fearful mindsets the employees may have. I feel like dogs, while they bring many great qualities to anywhere they go, should not be allowed into a work area unless need-be.
I am quite the animal lover and I believe this idea should be well thought over. Not everyone would agree with this idea to have your dog in the work place do to alergies or they could even be afraid of your dog. To help
With that being said, dogs can be a big hazard. There are a number of possibilities on how a dog could cause our workplace to be harmful. If not well trained they could have the potential to bite, jump all over people, lay where it could cause someone to trip or even act wild here being a different environment. This could lower our employees safety rates and cause us potential lawsuits. A lawsuit could also cause two coworkers to not get along leading to stress between them and those around them.
I believe that if dogs were to be allowed into the workplace it would create a huge liability for the company as well as the owner. In the Against Bringing Dogs to Work opinion letter they state that many Americans are allergic to dogs and some people are even affraid of dogs due to previous negative encounters with them.
First of all, bringing dogs into the presence of co-workers could be a bad desicion because some employees may be allergic to dogs. This would then cause physical or pshychological distress upon your co-workers, creating and unhealthy enviornment to work. Not to mention, dogs are unsanitary and could possibly spread disease, causing healh problems
Response #1 brings up 3 valid points in support of a “Bring your dog to work” program. Firstly, they pointed out that pets tend to make people less stressed in the workplace. However, many people today are afraid or anxious about dogs. Dogs can be traumatizing and cause distress among select employees, as Response #2 points out.
Having dogs in the workplace can be too distracting to all present. Though having your pet with you while at work might have benefits to productivity it will most likely have the opposite effect. As an owner of three dogs I can tell you that taking care of a pet is a job in itself. You have to feed them, taken out and given attention to. Having to do this throughout the work day is not good. By having do these things you'll get less work done. Dogs love
While many are opposed to the idea of allowing dogs into the workplace, I believe it has many benefits.
First of all not everone feels comfortbell around dogs. Or even likes them many people are even allergic to them. Also many people get very anxious when near them. Having dogs in an office would cause physical and psycholgical distress for some emmployees. Further more dogs can spread disease to humans. They could also bring bacteria that could get into the office, kitchen, and food.
A dog can couse a huge distraction to its owner or other worker in the work place. Dogs love to play, love to have atention from thir owners, and love to bark at other dogs. All of this can couse catastrofy at the work place cousin alot of distraction to its owner and co-worker it is hard to prevent this
Not everyone likes dogs or own one, so they can not undertand our thoughts. Having a pet is not a easy job and specially at work. We would have to keep the area clean, picking after any accidents, having them trained, no barking, cleaness of the dog, smell. All this can cause many distractions to our co-workers, and get into arguments.
While I understand the advantages, having dogs in the workplace could be detremental to some employees. Due to my own experience in the working enviorment. When I see a dog near me I become very excited and distracted, therefore breaking my consentration. Some employees may be distracted however some may not.
First of all, if employees were allowed to bring their dog to work, not a lot of work would be done. The owner would be too distracted to do their work due to having to keep an eye on their dog. Which could disrupt them from working. Also, every dog that would come in would all be very different from one another. For example, one dog could be professionally trained and well behaved while others could be the total opposite. Next, I'm going to give you an example of a dog that isn't well behaved.
Dogs are dangerous to the community since they can be aggressive and even bite. Some inconsiderate owners let their dogs off their leashes when they are in recreational areas. There is always a chance that a person could get attacked or frightened. Some people are also severely allergic to dogs. An
I do not support the bring your dog to work program. The workplace is not an accecptable place for dogs. Dogs can be very unpredictable in many situtations. As well as people who have a fear dogs, or an allergy to them.
