It is a common occurrence for a person may find out that their hair has oily strings. These strings are usually shapeless and in some cases, it can turn out to be a permanent hair condition. The problem with thin hair is that it looks as if it is neglected; this is because it is not something beautiful to look at. This may affect the appearance of a person and one may look less attractive.

What Causes Thin Oily Hair
The process by which air becomes thin and oily occurs naturally. The scalp usually has natural oil known as sebum which is secreted by the sebaceous glands. A controlled amount of this oil is actually beneficial to the hair. Sebum keeps the hair smooth and prevents it from drying. By keeping the hair oily, sebum prevents the hair from breaking and keeps the hair healthy. The good look of hair is a result of sebum.

However, in some cases, sebum is produced in huge amounts. This is as a result of hyperactivity in these glands. This results in an oily scalp which in turn affects the hair. Too much sebum has a toll especially on thin hair as it makes it appear too oily.
