Selling more than 30 million copies of her seminal, Pulitzer prize winning novel To Kill A Mockingbird and living in a small town (Britannica) do not generally go together when speaking about someone as well-known and famed as Harper Lee. Yet, Lee managed to live a quiet, humble life, in which she did not want or need many material possessions or an extravagant house. She instead prided herself on her ability to tell a story, as she did so wonderfully in To Kill A Mockingbird.
