Day 1, Make your self-diagnosis. What kind of depressive person are you? The first thing to do-as expected- is to acknowledge that you have a problem and what type of problem you have. It a step by step self-diagnosis, that will basically lead you to know the type of depressive person that you are. It’s a short task, made up of very crucial questions that will lead you at the same time to very crucial answers. With:
-Step 1: First identify your symptoms. Although some of them might be common to many (can happen to anyone, sometimes), these symptoms range from constant feeling of sadness, sudden loss of interest in things, a lack of sleep, lack of concentration/ focus, loss of appetite, no energy and in the worst cases constant thoughts of suicide. You might not have all these symptoms at once, just identify the ones you know you have. Write a list.
-Step 2: Rank these symptoms.
Like on the scale below (table 1), where each symptoms corresponds to a number, which in turn corresponds to your level of depression. This table simplifies things for you, and lets you know if your case is crucial or if you are at an early stage of depression.
If you are at a crucial stage of depression (from level 4 and up) where symptoms start to accumulate and get worst, your task will be to learn natural reflexes to combat negativity or negative thoughts. If you are still at an early stage (from levels 1 or 2), you still have time to fight these symptoms sooner.

When a person is battling depression, they are not at the point where they can think clearly of their actions. Depression can be caused from many distinct cases either from emotional stress of a lost loved one, feeling of not receiving justice, being
In the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic & Statistical Manual (APA, 2000) the symptoms of depression are: loss of interest or enjoyment in activities; changing in weight and appetite; changes to sleep pattern; loss of energy; feeling worthless or guilty; suicidal thoughts; poor concentration and being either agitated or slowed up.
First of all it is important to understand what really constitutes depression. All of us feel down from time to time perhaps based on having a "bad day". However when feelings of sadness last for several weeks, months, or years, and are accompanied by other symptoms such as change of appetite, isolation from family and friends, sleeplessness, etc. these are symptoms of depression.
“I recommend finding a depression test. Mine is in a book, but you can find one somewhere online. Taking the test helps me a lot when I feel that way. I know that the questions were written by people who are familiar with depression - when I get a score that lines up with depression, I know I can trust that my depression is real. When that score changes, I can trust that my depression is better or
This paper will focus on depressive disorders, and it will describe what they are, how they manifest themselves, what causes them and/or what makes certain individuals susceptible to the disorder as compared to others. This piece will also describe the most common treatment practices, and the effectiveness of these treatments. It will conclude by offering some testimonials from individuals who suffer from depressive disorders as well as some additional commentary about depressive disorders and their implications/challenges.
Not everyone has the same type of depression, there are many different types and some end up being treated different then others. One of the worst types of depression is major depression. You feel depressed most of the week and are very tired. Suicidal thoughts will come to you throughout the week. If you have five or more symptoms then you will most likely be diagnosed with major

This study will also examine the differences and distances between the categories of mild, moderate, and severe. In reviewing the process of the level of measurement I would say that there are no association with numbers in terms of the distance between the categories, and measuring the depression levels (Brockopp, & Hastings-Tolsma, 2003). The operationalization of the ordinal levels of data according to the BDI-Fast Screen allows me to capture more complex data on central tendency that are not available to ordinal levels of measurement. For example, it is possible to calculate the median and mode in a rank-ordered data, however, the interval level of measurement allows the calculation of a mean, as well as a range and standard deviation. Because of the additional information provided by the interval level of measurement gained by operationalizing levels of depression based onBDI-FastScreen scores, a more complex statistical analysis will be possible. This will enable my research study to provide more complex information on the variables (Frankfort-Nachmias & Nachmias,
Depression may not seem like much from the outside looking in, but to a person suffering from depression, it is an ailment that brings life to a screeching halt. While most people go through moments of "feeling depressed", these are nothing like bouts of clinical depression.
Current Symptoms: feelings of hopelessness, trouble expressing compassion and empathy, difficulty managing feelings of sadness, diminished appetite, and manipulation
You feel exhausted and drained. You feel like you have nothing left to give anyone, let alone yourself. You’re empty, sad, and feeling completely disconnected. depression at all. That is why it is wise to remember that if a person is suffering from these symptoms, then that person will more then likely need some help. The psychological symptoms consist of (a) sadness - the most common and obvious symptom of depression. (b) Loss of Interest - This is when a person no longer feels like doing many of the things that he or she usually does. Including their favorite pastimes.
Depression has numerous causes and effects which affect not only the person but the people around them. Depression doesn’t have a specific cause; in most cases it’s different for everyone. It is a common, treatable mental illness that can be experienced at any time in life. It is often described with feeling sad, unhappy, miserable, or “down in the dumps”. True clinical depression interferes with mood disorder in everyday life for weeks, months, or even years. Most people think depression affects only one
