Rosa McCauley was the oldest of her family, she had a younger sister and brother. She became a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, NAACP, by marrying Raymond Parks, in 1932. She didn’t have any children to carry on the family name. She died of natural causes in 2005. She is known best for not giving up her seat on a bus. Although this isn’t her only time that there problem with buses. She played a major part in the Civil Rights Movement. She heard about Emmett Till’s murder it sicken her, mentally. She felt bad for happened to him, this is not the first time that Rosa heard about deaths like Emmett’s.
