Actions can be more powerful than words because whatever you do, whether it’s the right thing, or it's the bad actions, you always get rewards, or consequences. The smart choice here is to do the good things because it's the right thing to do, but if you do the bad things, who knows what they would punish you for. Actions can be good, for example, if you are in a store, and someone drops their wallet, the right thing to do is rightfully return it back. There are times that the person who drops their wallet, can give you a reward. Doing the right thing can help you become a better person,it can benefit you. The wrong things you do can lead you into big trouble, for example, if you’re in a store, and you decide to steal something, at one point
Do you think that an action can be good even though it is done for the wrong reasons? Why or why not?
During class elections – imagine going up to the podium and reading only off of what was written. No one is going to like that type of speech. What people want to hear are the words that are kept within the heart. That is how some people win votes. The key to a successful speech is always the tone of how the words are expressed towards the other party. Tone and mood are similar. Tone meaning the attitude towards the author’s writing and mood meaning that the atmosphere is created by the author’s word choice. Other than speeches it can also be helpful with contact with just another person. Tone has helped me with a lot of situations in life.
Furthermore, this strategy is very helpful because you can use these to guide you with using your power. Acting exponentially means you should think and use the network like the media which they allow us to create power from thin air and spread it. Moreover, the network is contagious, the speed and scale of the internet today is different. Acting reciprocally, is giving your power to those who will give it back. Lastly, Perform your power, which it leads to remembering that power is infinite, we can create it from thin air. Acting powerful makes us powerful according to Eric Lui, this plays out in our civic life.
could be shown in positive and negative way. While making decisions you have to know right
The actions being good includes is showing good face actions when you are asked to do something and your face doesn’t turn upside down. It also includes not talking back or saying rude words.
When I hear someone say “do the right thing” I automatically think about not doing what I want but doing what is best for everyone. Although doing the right thing is not always the favorite choice it most certainly is the best choice because the outcome is always positive in some shape or form. Doing the right thing mostly consists of following the rules, listening to instructions, and looking out for the best interests of others. I believe it is important to always be honest and selfless when someone asks you to do something or asks about any choices you may or may not have made.
Think about how many things you have been told in your life. Now, think about how many of them have been wrong, a lie, or not what the person really meant. Quite a few I'm guessing because it is easy for people to say things they don't really mean or will never do, whether it be on purpose or not. However, very rarely do people's action lie because taking action requires a certain amount of dedication that is not required to talk about something. Anyone can talk about anything, but it means very little until they take the initiative to take action and prove they are serious. Emerson explained this phenomenon perfectly when he said "Actions speak louder than words."
One lesson I learned from The sayings of Poor Richard by Ben Franklin was that actions speak louder than words. Franklin said “He that composes himself is wiser than he that composes books.”(Franklin) This analogy is saying I shouldn’t criticize how others act, if I don’t act the way I should. In the story, Poor Richard was trying to find the ways to achieve moral perfection. He believed that being able to compose yourself is way more important than telling others what to do. Composing yourself means to watch your own actions, and strive to be morally excellent. Somebody’s actions shows the kind of person they are, not what they say. Being “all-talk” can make an individual appear a fool. It’s a lot easier to say something then do something.
stealing a car or hurting somebody is not doing right that's wrong doing right is helping other Mark Twain is exampling to do right.People should always do the right thing because if people in this world did a lot of tragic or sad events wouldn't happen. Instead of doing the wrong thing do right, it is way more beneficial not only for you but for others. The epigram I choose was “ always do right. That will gratify some of people, and astonish the rest.’’ I picked this epigram because what he is saying is very logical also very true, people always have to think what's right and wrong and by doing right it will have an excellent impact on others. The United states gun control issues could learn from Twain's truthful epigram “ Always do right. That will gratify some of the people, and astonish the rest.” because just listening to what he is saying will get people thinking doing right will get other people doing the right thing and others seeing you doing the right thing might shock them because not all people do the right thing
In school, actions include helping your peers or adults, show good spirit and happiness, and never be mean to others all the time. In home, actions include being nice to siblings or elderlies, show that you can be useful for others, and never give up on others. Sometimes, people would
Can you remember a pivotal person in your life when you where in school? Almost everyone can remember at least one person who they related to when they were an adolescent or young adult. As young people, we are very impressionable and are still trying to find our place in society by trying out new molds through different outlets of life. I feel as if words speak louder than actions when it comes to adolescents and young adults. In school there are a few people whose words will really matter to a young person trying to find there way and those would be people like a teacher, sports coach, or a fine arts teacher. All of these folks, along with a lot of others, are the people who we look up to for guidance in the right direction so therefore their words are of the upmost importance.
3. Doing the right thing: We exercise good judgment by "doing the right thing" instead of just "doing things right." We strive to understand the impact of our decisions, and we accept responsibility for our actions.
To distinguish what is right from wrong, I first subconsciously analyze the consequences of the act in question. I take into account how many people around me will be affected and to what extent. If the probability of the occurrence consequence in action is very low, I follow my instincts as to whether the action is wrong or right. Afterward, I will critically evaluate the outcome of this which, I will use for future decisions.
First and foremost, the philosophical perspective will focus on the field of axiology (ethics), that is, our notions of ‘right’, ‘good’, and ‘wrong’. In my point of view, ‘right’ is to abide by rules and regulations and ‘good’ refers to a virtue, that is, something that is morally right while ‘bad’ is something that is unacceptable or morally wrong. For instance, I find that greeting family members, friends and neighbours upon meeting them is something ‘good’ while misbehaving with these people is something that is considered ‘bad’. Wearing seat-belts during driving is considered ‘right’ because we are adhering to the traffic laws. Similarly, I think that helping someone in need emotionally, physically and financially is a good action. Hence, according to me, individuals should behave in a way that is deemed well in society; responsible, honest, respectable, caring, friendly and
We will be addressing what is right and wrong. Who is to say what is right and what is wrong? Many philosophers have debated back and forth and all think they are correct in their thinking, however what really is right and what really is wrong. Although so many great minds have touched this subject we will be taking a closer look at just a few. Many lines are crossed when speaking of right and wrong. For example ethics and morals. With ethics and morals more lines are crossed like religion. There is a lot of grey area. With this paper we are going to try and stay with only right and wrong. What makes an act right? Let’s start off with taking a look at what right means. Right as an adjective: morally good, justified, or acceptable, true or correct
