Why Do Professional Athletes Overpaid

Lebron James, Odell Beckham, Peyton Manning, & Dwayne Wade. Do those names sound familiar? Well if you watch sports 9 times out of 10 you know who those four men are. Two things they have in common is they’re professional athletes. Secondly they’re professional athletes that are overpaid like most professional athletes. Personally i believe that they are overpaid and that isn’t fair. They make $2million-$5million as an average, salary,Lebron James made $71million last year and a nurse made nothing near that amount, & even when professional athletes retire most likely they’ll still have more money the the PRESIDENT.

Did you know that some professional athletes get paid up to ten million dollars? Yes, some athletes actually get paid as high as thirty million depending on the sport. Sometimes all of that money could just be bonuses. Most athletes get paid for insane reasons and most aren't just scoring. For example, most NFL players get paid for the merchandise or ticket sales! These players should get paid this much they worked hard to get there, most people can't do what they do, and people enjoy watching them play these sports.

Some think that professional athletes are paid too much. They think that the money should go towards the people that “do something that helps society,” such as doctors, teachers, the military, etc. Also, some think that all the money they make is not necessary to make a living, or that athletes are very irresponsible with their money.

Pro athletes are not overpaid and should not be criticized for their high salaries.They get their money from fans buying merchandise, tickets and supporting their teams. Pro athletes also get money from big businesses sponsoring them. Although they get a lot of their income from fans and sponsors, they also appear in ads and support businesses. In conclusion, Professional athletes make a lot of money, but deserve all of it.

Are athletes paid too much? Yes, they are paid too much. Think about other people who need the money to survive like the homeless. There are other reasons why athletes are overpaid, but I'm going to focus on the ones that in my opinion are really important. The homeless, teachers, doctors, etc., and the environment.

Professional athletes are paid exactly what they deserve and they work harder and risk more than people think.Athletes put their blood sweat and tears into this. Also according to athletes earn what they deserve,athletes on average at the end of the career make 24 million just like the rest of the world.

When it comes to supporting your family, does athlete come to your mind,or does “I need money?” For my family athletes don’t come to my mind, the fact that we need more money does. There are many Americans who are struggling out there to make it alive each and every day. There are teachers who are teaching the future,the next generation and aren’t getting paid not even half of the money they deserve. People who are playing sports get an average of $2 million to $5million a year, compare that to an average family: $54,000 families have to mettle up every day to make it. Yes,athletes, are overpaid, because there are people who are willing to risk their lives for another person that they don’t know and it’s inane that they still don’t make half

As Dick Schaap once said, “If I got paid, it was no more than five dollars a column, and I still think I was overpaid.” Have you ever been concerned that athletes are overpaid? For example, Kobe Bryant is being paid approximately $25 million dollars annually. In my opinion, I think that professional athletes are being overpaid because of these three reasons. We can use that money towards good causes, such as cancer research, and saving the people in need. Also, we can use that money towards increasing the income for teachers, because they work eight hours, and do an extra two hours of work at home. What do these athletes actually do, they just kick, throw, pass a ball and make more than ten million dollars a year.

Professional sports are going bankrupt due to the overpaid athletes. First sign notice to them should have been when they realised they were getting millions of dollars more than doctors and surgeons. Or that the fact that they could be, and are, teaching younger kids the wrong value in hard work. Showing them that they don’t have to work for the money that they get.

How would you feel if you played a professional sport in front of thousands of people and didn’t make a lot of money for it? I would feel like I was cheated and it would feel unfair. Athletes would experience this feeling if they didn’t make the money that they do. My main reasons for why the salaries athletes should not be decreased are the fact that they retire early. Also, because professional sports make so much money, so a lot of this money should be given to the players for the hard work that they do. Lastly, the injury risk of sports like football are quite high, so the players need to have enough money to afford the surgery and care that they need.

Professional athletes are paid too much for just entertaining people there's people saving lives and they won’t make a million dollars in their lifetime. Firefighters rush into burning buildings and they are risking their lives and they don't get payed as much as athletes.

I think that the people that save us and protect us should be getting paid more than them.

There are thousands of people working on their grades in school, yet someone who plays sports and never focuses on their education earns more money? That’s right. Many professional athletes get paid millions of dollars. Some people think that these players are inspiring and deserve these large sums of cash. Others, well, not so much. They may believe they are entertaining and reach people’s dreams, but run around a field with adoring fans while

I think that they can be overpaid but some are doing it for all the people who watch them do what they do and I think that is awesome. They should be awarded for their efforts but not that much money because other people need money as much as they do. I think that they need to use that money for charity instead of just keeping it and not spending it without having to worry about overspending with what they get. Think about the pay of professional athletes. Many professional athletes get paid millions of dollars. Some people think that these athletes are arrogant and selfish with their money. Some athletes donate a large portion of their money to charity and volunteer at local centers. There are many opinions on the pay of athletes. Some people think they are not overpaid, but others think that they are.
