Imagine a world where people do not accept they are different and want to be the same as everyone else. If the people did not accept who they were then that could lead to wanting to change everything about them just to fit in. It could also lead to one becoming to fake in who one wants to be that one will get bullied for how they are trying to hard. The world should never come to this so the reason that it is okay to be different. Being different is a chance to show people who really are. Even though being the same as everyone else can lead to less arguing and less bullying towards people, people should be different because if not everyone would be the same which make the world uninteresting
In other words, no one is perfect. With nobody being perfect come mistakes and consequences that may impact one's life. The novel reveals “Someone with a past that’s changed their future forever”(212). And “‘I’m not saying we did everything right’”(136). The text stated shows that everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. For example, in Jenna's past life she had made some wrong decisions that later impacted Jenna's like tremendous witch comes with not being perfect, and Jenna's parents made the mistake of not telling Jenna who she really was. This gives evidence that no one is perfect. For the reason that everyone makes

So if everyone was the same, the world would be uninteresting. Since being unique and different from others is always better than being the same as everyone else it is always okay to be different in one's own way. By being different it also means that mistakes will come which is okay since no one is perfect. Overall it is good to be different from others, for the reason of that’s what makes people unique and special. It is also good to accept who one is and to be okay with who one has become and what one looks
The point is, we are all different. Yet the differences that we have between us can be used to strengthen society as we know it. Diversity enables us to have the opportunity to learn, develop, and understand different ways of living, and experience our lives to the fullest. Without diversity, we are closed or boarded off in our own worlds. But with it, we expand our knowledge and we are no longer ignorant. When you are aware of the differences and embrace them, then you have taken the blind fold off to living differently and you are a better person for it. The key is exposure and using what you learned to increase more tolerance and decrease things such as racism.
Some humans can’t accept difference. Most humans are locked up in a world where everyone has to be just like them. The novel Downsiders by Neal Shusterman is an example of this. The novel has the theme that when people separate into groups and cultures, they have a hard time understanding the opposite and tend to judge. But those who accept, benefit greatly.
We must decide for ourselves whether to conform to such a social etiquette. We are taught as soon as we are old enough to grasp the idea that it is bad to be unique and to avoid being different. At some point, however, we must decide within ourselves whether to spend every day trying to be like everyone else because society says we should or living each day true to ourselves. Our strength as a person is proven through what we decide. The benefits of being true to ourselves greatly outweigh any negative aspects of choosing that path.
Being understanding and accepting of others can’t be useful in establishing positive relationships with those that are different from us. I the short story “What of This Goldfish, Would you Wish?” by Etgar Keret, the characters show how they do and do not accept people who are different. In the short story “ the wife's story” by Ursla k. Le Guin, the characters reveal that they're not accepting of people who are different than them. Lastly in from texas v.s johnson a majority court opinion by William J. Brennan, there are examples of acceptance of those who are different.
Anyone can tell you that they would be hesitant toward people who were not like themselves. Therefore, if the person has good intentions or you know the person is not harmful, you would never be able to get along with them. The second point that the author makes was the by completing the Diversity Wheel, we are able to conclude that our core qualities has a major influence in how someone is treated in society. When looking at the wheel the core
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” Being different is what distinguishes you from other people. In the novel, Anthem, life for a young man named Equality 7-2521 is complicated due to the rules of collectivism. He has to discover a way to be free of society’s regulations and learn the true meaning of individuality. Sometimes, happiness and freedom are not given but fought for. Overall, what really matters is what you believe in, trusting your judgments, and accepting yourself.
When I look out into the world it does not take long for me to realize that we are all different in a plethora of different ways. We all grow up in many different societies and
Each of us has different individual characteristics and factors, and it is the combination of these that make up who we are.
Difference makes everyone individuals; nobody is absolutely the same because of differences. Sometimes our differences cause feuds, arguments, and controversies. Everyone is their own person due to differences and that what makes us the people we are.
One can believe that this quote is telling the audience that everyone is unique in their own way; therefore, everyone should think individually creating unique ideas. Without the individual thought process, we would not have electricity, light bulbs, telephones, computers, or medical vaccines. Our world would not be advanced as we are today! Our world falls into the standard
People often try to be who they are not, they try to be what others want them to be. $$$ This causes insecurity and a desperation for acceptance from others. People try to have a second face to everyone else, trying to receive acceptance, but completely ignoring the consequences: the pain, lack of freedom, and guilt of lying to others who you appreciate, and yourself, as well. However, some people realize it is ok to be different, to be unique. After all, everyone is different.
No one is the same, everyone is diverse and sometimes these differences can lead to confliction. Barbra Jordan stated that “We as human beings must be willing to accept people who are different from ourselves”. As much we desire to accept our differences we are shown time and time again that we cannot. In the short stories, “The Fan Club”, “The Bass, the River, and Shella Mant”, and” Two Friends” we see humans treating others wrong because they are different from them.
Beatty explains to Montag that “We must all be alike. Not everyone born free and equal...everyone made equal. Each man the image of the every other; then all are happy.” (55) This demonstrates the idea that knowledge can’t be achieved because it will make people feel like they are inferior because they aren’t as smart as some people. Beatty explains how everyone has to be the same so that way the world would be happy. But this is just a false advertisement. Montag realized that everyone has to be different to survive the world and that everyone is unique and different. We don't realize the type of people we are as we conform to the way that society wants us to
It is clear that sameness is bad. Sameness is bad because of the way it affects the whole community. Sameness does not let people be who they want to be. People have to cover up who they want to be if sameness
Till this day no one has ever lived the exact same life as another person. While we can experience similar situations or be in the same place as an event was happening, the event would never be exactly the same. This is because we have diverse thoughts, views and feelings. Diversity also allows us to make our own decisions on what we want to do and who we want to be.
