William Shakespeare was a playwright born on 1564.There is several mysteries about this man. His actual date of birth is unknown. No one knows exactly where he was born, but he is believed to have come from the area of Stratford-On-Avon in England. What we do know is that he wrote plays which were popular then and are still popular now. Shakespeare wrote many types of plays such as dramas, comedies and tragedies. His plays continue to be performed today and several have been made into movies. Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet and Julius Caesar are some of these.

This may seem like a lot of plays but, only 15 of them were successfully published. The rest were not published.
William Shakespeare was believed to have taken a part in translating the bible. In Psalms 46, if you count 46 words from the beginning, you will see the word "shake". If you count 46 words from the end, you will find the word "spear". Since the translation of the King James Version of the Bible was around that time, He would have been around 40 when they translated it. They don't include him however in the translator name lists since he has written so many more things (as listed above). This is not 100% true. This period was after the year 1600. His characters were vivid impressions about humans that were universal and timeless. Probably the best known play however, is most likely Hamlet. This mainly shows betrayal, incest, moral failure, and retribution. The moral failures will drive the twists ending up in killing the hero and his loved ones.
William Shakespeare went missing for seven years of his life. This is where there is no records of him. Some believe he went poaching from his land lord. Since he had studied poaching, this would make a great deal of sense to some. This period is called "The Lost Years". Some believe he was an assistant schoolmaster. This would be in Lancashire. Some believed that in the mid- to late 1580's, he may have gotten a job as a horse attendant. He may have worked at one of London's finer theaters as a horse
