The first step in finding your purpose is discovering your core virtue. Finding your core virtue is a process to determine what you love and have a passion for. Everyone has a core virtue, and there are many ways to discover it. You have to think about makes you happy in life, what makes you angry, what makes you sad. This process is digging deep inside and coming up with a reason why you are here on earth. Another step in finding your purpose in life is through the process of elimination. You never know what you don’t like or like until you experience it. If you decide to take a certain job, and five months later realize this is not what you were set out to do, you need to make a change. In the article titled, Do You like Your Job says that, “A “this isn’t it feeling” about your job is an indication that the general fit you have within your organization may be off. If your unease about your job has persisted for a year, you probably need to take action now.” If you never had that experience you would have never known you didn’t like that specific career. From my research I understand that is crucial to gain knowledge in order to discover your purpose. Once you find your core virtue and make the decision to be committed to what ever it is you will find success.

It's a fundamental belief of mine that each one of us is brought upon this world with a major definite purpose in life. Everyone has a unique destiny for contributing to this world using their unique blend of talents and passions. I have no doubt that most people today work hard and stay busy with daily activities. The problem I've noticed is that many people live their lives without any sense of meaningful purpose that gives their lives passion and significance. They get caught up in the daily mechanical routines of life and they become creatures of habit rather than purpose-driven beings. Finding and shaping your major definite purpose is perhaps the most important thing that you will ever do in your life because your purpose is the driving force that spawns all the achievements that you will ever accomplish and it provides that unlimited source of motivation that drives you to achieve all the goals that you set for yourself and enables you to live life to the fullest.

“These days I live in three worlds: my dreams, and the experiences of my new life, which trigger memories from the past." Trying new jobs you don't enjoy will cause you to dream of what you’d rather be doing, and this will lead you to find a passion. The tricky part is pursuing your passion and following up on it. Putting yourself out there and taking new opportunities will expand your horizon. Finding your passion and calling takes time, it won’t happen overnight. As long as you are constantly active in what you feel is your passion; sooner or later you’ll find your calling and all it has to
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. “ Those words, spoken by Confucius, represent the goal of not only mine, but many others when it comes to finding your true calling. Often times this journey proves too challenging and forces an individual to give up all together and instead settle for something easier to obtain and inferior to their original goal. This can commonly lead to feelings of unfulfillment and regret in the choices you have made. It’s not until you find your true calling that you go from thinking about your job as something that you have to do to something that you love doing.

The video explains that if we are passionate for something, we should might as well make it as our job. In his video, he says, “But you’re doing work that embodies who you are.” In, The Fall, the main character loved his job, but for the wrong reasons. Although it was mostly for fame, he did it so he could get something out of it. “But, seen from the outside, it looked rather like a passion.” He did it for the opposite reasons that most people would.
