Inchnadamph

Assynt is a region in the south-west of Sutherland, a county in the Highlands of Scotland. It is characterised by water logged grasslands on much of the landscape, as well as large rocky mountains dominating the sky. To the east of the northern road, there is a zone of imbricates created by the sole thrust, indicating beginning of the Moine thrust complex. This sole thrust is also visible around the Skiag bridge area and also by Ardveck castle. The area has been of particular interest for geologists
