The Hawaiian Island chain is made up of 132 islands, and the eight main islands are Hawai’i, Maui, O’ahu, Kaua’i, Moloka’i, Lana’i, Ni’ihau, and Kaho’olawe. Hawai’i is also referred to as “The Big Island” so it is not confused with the name of the state.
