    My nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize is Malala Yousafzai. Ms. Yousafzai was born on July 17, 1997 in Mingora, Pakistan. Even from an early age Malala was an active advocate for girls’ education, which resulted in a death threat by the Taliban. On October 9,2012 she was shot by a gunman on her way home from school.
