The Five Platonic Solids The five platonic solids are the tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and the icosahedron. They are named for the Greek philosopher Plato. Plato wrote about them in The Timaeus (c.360 B.C.) in which he paired each of the four classical elements, earth, air, water, and fire with a regular solid. Earth was paired with the cube, air with the octahedron, water with the icosahedron, and fire with the tetrahedron. The fifth Platonic solid, the dodecahedron, Plato says

Early in his life, Kepler wanted to prove that the universe obeyed Platonistic mathematical relationships, such as the planetary orbits were circular and at distances from the sun proportional to the Platonic solids (see paragraph below). However, when his friend the astronomer Tycho Brahe died, he gave Kepler his immense collection of astronomical observations. In Wicca, Akasha is the name given to the 5th Element also known as Spirit, not the “human” Spirit, but in this context, Spirit as the source of all energy, the universal forces, all that is. The word Akasha itself is a Sanskrit word for “Aether” meaning clear sky or pure air. This must not be confused by the chemical substance “ether”. Is interesting to know that in Alchemy, Aether - unlike other elements - didn’t have a definite symbol and it was normally and “unofficially” represented by a circle

The meaning of double of effect can be quite controversial. The principle of double effect teaches that one might perform a good action even if foreseen that a bad effect might occur (Becker, n.d). However, this is based on four principles which involves that the action has to be good itself, that the bad result was not directly intended, that the good result is not a direct casual result from the bad result, and that the good result is proportionate to the bad result (Becker, n.d).
