​Georgia Southern University, also referred to as GSU, is a 4 year college located in Statesboro, Georgia. The college was originally created in 1908, but didn’t begin carrying the name “Georgia Southern” until 1959 (University). Currently, Georgia Southern has over 20,000 students with over 100 majors to choose from (University). Georgia Southern has Division One Athletics.
